This raceway venue is situated at I-35W and Highway 114 and has been know to accommodate over 200,000 fans at a time. The speedway can seat over 52,000 guests just in the infield. There is a 1.5-oval track that hosts NASCAR cup races, Truck Series and Indy Series events.
With the continued leadership of Eddie Gossage since the first checked flag was waved, this super speedway was the first to have personal seat licenses and to offer season tickets in the sport of racing. Because of Gossage, fans can bring personal items such as coolers to the track.
The track’s unique quad-oval design features a front straightaway that extends away from the road. Completed in 1996, the frontstretch is 2250 feet long with the backstretch that measures over 1300 feet in length.
General parking is free during race days with other parking spaces available for a fee. The Texas Motor Speedway offers two areas on the east side for tent campers including unreserved tent sites. There is additional unreserved camping allowed on the west side of the speedway only during NASCAR weekend races. There are close to 1000 sites, approximately 20x40 feet, available on a first-come, first-served basis for a fee. In addition, there is reserved camping available in the infield and at a VIP camp site. Additional reserved and unreserved camping is also available outside of the speedway.
Texas Motor Speedway is home to NASCAR Sprint Cup races, Nationwide Series races, and the Indy Racing League IndyCar series race.
