Sweat Tickets

Written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage, Sweat tells a story of race, economy, identity, and how both unavoidable circumstances and individual choices can send you down completely different paths from your peers. Set in a bar in blue collar Pennsylvania, three childhood friends, a parole officer and two ex-convicts reflect on the disbelief they feel after jobs are cut and companies are downsized. Sweat was written in 2015, and was first put into production at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and was also played at the Arena Stage in Washington, D.C. It was then picked up Off-Broadway, where it played one month before being transferred to its current location on Broadway. We have tickets to see Sweat at Studio 54 on sale now.
