Believe it or not, WWE Summer Slam has been slamming on your television for three decades. If you thought wrestling's finest days had come and gone, you clearly haven't been paying attention to the recent wrestling action. John Cena continues to bring out the best and worst in his colleagues, as seen with his ongoing showdown with AJ Styles. Last year it was The Undertaker who snuck away with a defeat of Brock Lesnar, and this year there are too many contenders to even try to predict the outcome. Last year’s WWE Summerslam featured the best wrestlers out there, including The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, John Cena and Seth Rollins.As elite as the event was, however, 2016 is looking to top it. While matchups have yet to be confirmed—there’s still plenty of action between now and then—many are predicting that Brock Lesnar will be up against either Braun Strowman or Bray Wyatt, if the latter is fully recovered from a recent injury. Other rumors have John Cena facing Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. While you wait for the lineup to be confirmed, you don’t have to wait to get your tickets. The long awaited WWE SummerSlam is less than ten days away from kicking off at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. The event will take place on Sunday, August 23 at 7:30 p.m. and will feature all of your favorite prime time wrestlers. The series will include a tag team Fatal 4-Way match, a Triple Threat Intercontinental Championship match, as well as a Title vs. Title match with Seth Rollins and John Cena. There are also rumors, however, that the Undertaker will return to face The Beast Brock Lesnar at the event. 4/1/15 - WrestleMania 31 was a wild night full of twists and turns for WWE fans. Seth Rollins prevailed in perhaps the biggest surprise of the night, becoming the new World Heavyweight Champion by overcoming Roman Reigns and champion Brock Lesnar. The U.S. Championship also changed hands, as WWE poster boy John Cena defeated the Hero of the Russian Federation, Rusev, to bring the title belt back to the states. Legendary veterans Sting and Triple H faced off in a historic match, which saw the returns of the nWo and D-Generation X, two of wrestling’s most popular assemblages from the days of the Monday Night Wars. What implications will these results have on this year’s upcoming events, including WWE Summer Slam in Brooklyn, New York? Only time will tell!

3/27/15 - For the first time in six years, WWE Summer Slam is returning to the place where it all got started: the great state of New York. This week, Brock Lesnar made a commitment to finish his competitive career in the squared circle of the WWE, forgoing MMA pursuits to focus on defending his World Heavyweight Championship—the title he took from John Cena at Summer Slam 2014. Will Lesnar still reign atop the WWE come August? Will we see a Lesnar vs. Cena rematch, and if so, who will enter as the defending champ?
