The opening weekend of the MLS season has come and gone, so now fans can stop speculating about how their teams will perform and begin to analyze what’s actually happening on the field. FC Dallas, a team that had a fair amount of buzz about it during the offseason, looks like it might live up to at least some of the hype after beating the Los Angeles Galaxy in the season opener. The New York Red Bulls also looked strong at home, fending off Atlanta United FC by a score of 2-1. The season is just underway and promises to deliver a lot of exciting, high-level soccer, so get your tickets now and support your team!
The kickoff of MLS madness is just weeks away! Your favorite footy players will return to the field starting Friday, March 3 with Portland facing Minnesota United in the season opener. In the meantime, the league continues to deliberate over plans to expand as they accept applications from interested locations. Approved cities will begin to play starting in 2020, with more to follow later. So far, the list of hopefuls includes Phoenix, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Nashville, Detroit, Tampa, and San Diego among others. No matter who makes it, make sure you are there on March 3 to support Portland and Minnesota in the first game of the season! Tickets are on sale for $54 and up.
