The NASCAR Sprint Series returns to Sonoma, California June 22nd and you can watch the drivers make more than just left-hand turns on this 10-turn 1.99 mile road course, which is 1 of only 2 races to occur on road courses in NASCAR (the other is Watkins Glen). This unique track tests the drivers with tight corners, close racing and elevation changes. Last year’s winner, Martin Truex Jr will be looking to repeat but will challenged by Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, “Road-Course Ringers” and the rest of the drivers.

Fans can enjoy the expansive vendor midway, a charity auction, local Sonoma valley wines and a dynamic pre-race event highlighted by the Patriots Jet Team Air Show. Rubbin’, racin’, flyin’ and wine - what’s not to like? Pit-Passes start at $95 each and seats in the grandstand range from $103-$160.

Fun track facts: nearly 3000 sheep call it home and help provide natural grass care for the 1600 acres of land, the race is one of the few that is actually measured in kilometers (its 352 km or 219 miles), Dale Earnhardt won his only road-course race here in 1995, and winners sip from the Champion’s Goblet in the Wine Country Winner’s Circle to pay homage to the area’s rich wine-country heritage.
