The Goody's Relief 500 officially kicks off the final stretch in the Chase for the Sprint Cup! Martinsville Speedway in Virginia is the only place to be on the last weekend in October, as it's the final short track race of the year and the only short track race in the Chase. Goody's Relief 500 is the seventh race in the ten-race finals so it's always pumping with championship excitement. By this time, the men will be separated from the boys—and after the race, you'll know who are contenders and who are just pretenders in the hunt for the title.

Previously known as the Subway 500, and officially dubbed the Goody's Headache Relief Shot 500, the race has been running since 1947. Last year's big victor was Jeff Gordon in his fifth win, beating out Jimmie Johnson who would've gotten his sixth at Goody's Relief 500 to tie Darrell Waltrip and Richard "The King" Petty who've won at Martinsville six times.

Martinsville Raceway is one of the smaller tracks in the game, so you can bet that any seat you land has a great view. On the downside, this means that Goody's Relief 500 tickets go extremely fast! Some relate this race to the Final Four tournament in college basketball; it gives everyone a chance to see who can seriously nab the championship trophy.
