The Philadelphia Flyers had one of their most exciting games of the season on Tuesday night. They hit the ice against the Boston Bruins and the game was a battle to say the least. Both teams were able to score two goals apiece in regulation time, but neither team was able to pull off a third goal before time expired. In the end, the winner of the game all came down to a shoot out. The Flyers came out on top in the shoot out and left the ice as the winners. The Philadelphia Flyers beat the Wild 2-3 on November 12, and then fell to the Senators after a shootout on the 15. In the game against the Senators, Nick Cousins had an unassisted goal to get the Flyers the first on the board about five minutes into the first period. The Senators equalized in the second period, but before it ended the Flyers drew ahead again with a goal from Michael Raffl. However, in the final minutes of play, the Senators tied it up and sent the game into overtime. The Flyers were unable to score and took the loss. The Philadelphia Flyers endured a high-scoring matchup against the Carolina Hurricanes on October 30, managing to eek out a 4-3 win in the end.
