The New York Islanders are off to a bit of a slow start this 2016-2017 NHL season, a feeling that is all too familiar for fans. Although it’s still early in the season, the 1-4 start has some starting to panic right out of the gate. The Isles scored their first victory this Monday over the Anaheim Ducks, but with a player like John Tavares on the roster, things should be going a lot better for New York. This week’s schedule has the Islanders playing the next three at home against Arizona, Minnesota and Montreal. Come show your support as the New York Islanders endeavor to beat the odds and make this their best season yet! Tickets are on sale now.

The New York Islanders didn’t make many big splashes during the offseason. While some are worried that the team needs to make significant moves in order to compete in a strong Eastern Conference, it’s important to remember how good the Islander’s defense has been. All of the best defenders are returning for the 2016-2017 season, and while the club may not have made any flashy moves, the owners have put together a team that could be extremely hard to score against. Islanders fans don’t have to wait long to see their favorite team in action, as New York hosts the Philadelphia Flyers for a preseason game on September 26. Tickets start as low as $4.
