The Nashville Predators were unable to stop the Toronto Maple Leafs on November 15, primarily because the team couldn't figure out a solution for James van Riemsdyk. Van Riemsdyk came through with a hat trick for the Maple Leafs, and those three goals were too much for Nashville. The Predators got goals from Viktor Arvidsson and James Neal and only trailed 3-2 after the first two periods, but the Leafs managed to add three goals in the final period and went on to win 6-2. Predators fans will look for their team to play a little tighter on the defensive side when the Dallas Stars come to town on November 23. Tickets for that game start as low as $29.

While the 2016-2017 season has been disappointing thus far for the Nashville Predators, a recent win over the Colorado Avalanche gave the Nashville players plenty to smile about. Ryan Johansen and Matt Irwin both found the back of the opponent’s net for their first goals of the season and Pekka Rinne stopped 28 shots en route to a 5-1 victory for the Predators. This was the team’s first road win of the year, and goals are starting to come with a bit more frequency as teammates get more comfortable playing together. The Predators can now enjoy a long home stand that includes a game against the Anaheim Ducks on November 12. Tickets for that matchup start at $51.

The Nashville Predators suffered a disheartening loss the other night against the Dallas Stars, but it wasn’t the kind of game that leaves a team licking its wounds for too long. The score was tied 1-1 after two periods, with both teams riding strong defensive play. Unfortunately, halfway through the third period, Stars’ center Jason Spezza scored the go-ahead and eventual game-winning goal. If the Predators are able to show more offensive firepower while continuing to hold opponents in check, the results will surely start to turn in the team’s favor. After a lengthy road trip, Nashville will host the Carolina Hurricanes on November 5. Tickets for that game start at $39.

The Nashville Predators had an exciting playoff run in 2016, and the team is looking to build on that with another winning campaign in 2016-2017. The Predators’ front office showed that they mean business by trading away the Shea Weber, the team’s aging captain, for P.K. Subban, one of the league’s best defensive players. The addition of Subban will shore up a defense that is already plenty good, so hockey fans in Nashville have every reason to be excited about the start of the NHL season. The first home game of the preseason will be against the Tampa Bay Lightning on October 1, and tickets for that matchup start as low as $18.
