Minnesota Wild Tickets

After a string of mediocre play, the Minnesota Wild are looking to turn things around in the 2016-2017 season with the help of a brand new coach. In the last nine years, Coach Bruce Boudreau has helped his previous teams earn eight division titles, and he looks to continue the trend in his first year with Minnesota. He’ll have plenty of talent to work with; forwards like Nino Niederreiter, Mikko Koivu, Zach Parise and Jason Pominville are back for another season. With six months of hockey on the horizon, the sky’s the limit for the Wild. Whether they’re home at the Xcel Energy Center or on the road, we have the best tickets around—get your Minnesota Wild tickets today!

Minnesota Wild News

Of the 13 games the Minnesota Wild played in November, they were only able to pull off 5 wins. However, it has been enough to keep them tied for third place with Nashville in the NHL Central standings. Their last game was played against Vancouver on November 29 and the results all came down to the final minutes of the game. The Wild seemed to have a hold on the game as they scored the only goal in the first period. But Vancouver came back during the second period and put away two goals of their own. The third period was full of excitement as the two teams battled it out offensively. Vancouver ended up coming out on top with a 5-4 lead. The Minnesota Wild lost to the Calgary Flames on November 15 in a gritty game that saw very little offense from either team. Both goalies played exceptionally well and the Wild's Devan Dubnyk had 26 saves while allowing only one score in three periods of action. Unfortunately, that goal proved to be the game winner because the Flames’ goalie, Chad Johnson, kept the puck out of his net throughout the entire game. The Wild will likely lean on the team’s defense as the season goes on, but the players still need to figure out how to get it done on offense. Minnesota will try to play more aggressively when the Winnipeg Jets come to town on November 23. Tickets for that game start at $60.

The Minnesota Wild played its usual brand of solid defense against the Buffalo Sabres on November 1. Unfortunately the Minnesota offense didn’t come to play and the team ended up losing by a final of 2-1. Former Wild player Johan Larsson did the damage for the Sabres, scoring in the third period to deliver a third straight win for Buffalo. As well as Minnesota has played in the early going, sometimes the puck simply doesn’t roll your way and this was one of those nights. The team now heads out for a lengthy road trip but will be back on November 15 to host the Calgary Flames. Tickets for that matchup start as low as $34.

Fans have high expectations for the Minnesota Wild this season, and the team has done its best to meet those lofty goals in the early going. A win over the Los Angeles Kings on October 18 showed that Minnesota is capable of running and gunning when it’s required, as the Wild took that game by a score of 6-3. Minnesota got six goals from six different players, showing a balance on the ice that the team will need to maintain if it hopes to see a playoff birth in 2017. The next home game for the Wild will be against the Dallas Stars on October 29, with tickets starting at $62.

The Minnesota Wild is ready to have a breakout year, and many fans believe that the 2016-2017 season could be when it finally happens for their club. After a disappointing finish last year, the team brought in a new head couch in Bruce Boudreau and also signed a high-profile center in Eric Staal. One or two additions don’t always make the difference for a hockey team, but with the amount of talented players on the Wild, these changes could help the team finally make a run in the playoffs. Minnesota will host the Colorado Avalanche for a preseason game on September 27 and tickets for that matchup start as low as $21.
