Pittsburgh Steelers News

The Pittsburgh Steelers caught a bit of a break on Thanksgiving when Andrew Luck was unable to play for the Indianapolis Colts. Luck was suffering from concussion symptoms so Scott Tolzien got the start in his place. Tolzien played well enough to keep the game from turning into a blowout, but the Steelers never trailed and won by a convincing margin of 28-7. Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown hooked up for three touchdowns and the fourth score came by way of running back Le’Veon Bell. The Steelers have two more home games, one of which will be on Christmas day against the Baltimore Ravens. Tickets for that game start as low as $68.

The Pittsburgh Steelers lost to the Cowboys on November 13 in a close game that had a final score of 35-30. Pittsburg when into the locker rooms at the half up by two points. However, they lost their edge when Dallas scored 10 to their three in the third quarter. Although the teams both scored 12 in the fourth quarter, it was not enough for a Steelers victory. Ben Roethlisberger threw three touchdown passes and had a total of 408 yards. Antonio Brown helped out by catching 14 passes for a total of 154 yards, which included a final score with just 42 seconds left in the game with Roethlisberger faked a spike. The Steelers next play the Browns on November 20 in Cleveland, with tickets for $33 and up.

Fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers are still shaking their heads after last week’s display of embarrassment. Big Ben and the rest of the team hit the road to face the Baltimore Ravens in a bitter rivalry match. The Steelers are usually known for dominating these games, but that simply was not the case last Sunday. Instead, Joe Flacco and the Ravens rallied to beat Pittsburgh 21 - 14, shutting the visitors out completely the first three quarters. It was a confusing loss for the Steelers and their fans alike. Now, they will head home to host the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, November 13. Tickets are available for $301 and up.

The Pittsburgh Steelers had a bye week after losing to the Patriots on October 23. The Steelers will look to add another win to their record when they head to Baltimore to play the Ravens on November 6. As the team is preparing for the game, it is time to look at the latest injury report to see how it might affect the game. Antonio Brown, Marcus Gilbert, Cameron Heyward, Shamarko Thomas and Markus Wheaton were all in full participation. Ben Roethlisberger and DeAngelo Williams were under limited participation, while David DeCatro and Cody Wallace sat out. DeCastro's sitting out was not injury related. You can still get tickets, with prices starting at $52.

Just because the Pittsburgh Steelers have one of the best and most veteran quarterbacks in the league, doesn’t guarantee that they will get a bunch of wins. Currently the Steelers are on a two-game losing streak. Last week they took on the New England Patriots with high hopes of winning the game. Unfortunately, Tom Brady’s offense was just too much to stop and the Patriots walked off the field with the 27-16 win. The Steelers have a bye this week, but will suit up again on November 6 to compete against the Baltimore Ravens. Close tickets and the nosebleeds are still up for grabs, so get your before its too late.

Heading into Week 6’s game against the Miami Dolphins, the Pittsburgh Steelers had a lot of confidence they could walk away with a win. A consistently effective offense like theirs should have had no trouble getting past No. 26, 2-4 Dolphins, but the Steelers simply didn’t realize how tough Miami’s defense can be. The Steelers also never saw Jay Ajayl coming and simply seemed powerless to stop him. Ajayl earned over 200 rushing yards Sunday, helping Miami to the 30-15 upset. Adding insult to injury, Pittsburgh will be without Ben Roethlisberger for at least a month while he recovers from surgery to correct a meniscus injury. The Steelers will take on the New England Patriots this Sunday, Oct. 23, at Heinz Field.

The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Jets 31-13 when they played on October 9. After the teams went into the locker room at the half with the Steelers ahead 14-13, the Steelers dominated the second half of the game. Ben Roethlisberger had four touchdown passes during the game, completing 34 of 47 attempts for a total of 380 yards. Sammie Coates caught six of the passes for 139 yards, a career high. There is still time to get tickets, with prices starting at just $10.

Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers have more than recovered since their embarrassing performance against the Philadelphia Eagles two weeks ago. Here’s proof: They beat the Kansas City Chiefs 43 - 14 last weekend. Roethlisberger threw a ridiculous seven touchdowns to put an exclamation point on the victory. The Steelers should have another excellent opportunity to strut their stuff this Sunday, as they will host a 1 - 3 New York Jets team. Can Big Ben throw eight? Find out on Sunday, October 9 at Heinz Field. Tickets are still on sale and available for purchase starting at prices as low as $135. You won’t want to miss this one!

The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered their first loss when they played the Eagles on September 25. The Eagles' defense made it difficult on the Steelers, and they were only able to get one field goal after having an average of 31 points in their first two games of the season. Ben Roethlisberger completed 24 of 44 passes for a total of 257 yards. He also had just one interception. Antonio Brown had a solid effort, catching 123 passes and getting 140 yards, but it did not affect the outcome of the game. The Steelers will look to get another win when they host the Chiefs on October 2. Don't miss out on the action and get your tickets now for $70 and up.

The first game for the Pittsburgh Steelers was more or less a walk in the park. The Washington Redskins scored the game’s first six points, but after that it was all Pittsburgh. DeAngelo Williams and Antonio Brown were the biggest stars for the Steelers, as each player was able to score two touchdowns and notch over 100 yards of offense en route to the victory. While the sample size is small, the Steelers appear to be doing just fine in the absence of running back Le’Veon Bell. After the Bengals come to town on September 18, the Steelers’ next home game will be against the Kansas City Chiefs on October 2. Tickets for that showdown are currently priced as low as $82.

With the regular season underway, Pittsburgh Steelers fans finally have a chance to see what this offense will look like during the suspension of star running back Le’Veon Bell. While it’s difficult to replace a player as talented as Bell is, Pittsburgh has an incredible luxury in backup RB Deangelo Williams. This veteran still has plenty of gas left in the tank, and with Antonio Brown running deep routes and spreading the field, there should be plenty of space for Williams and the rest of the Steelers’ offense to make big plays. Pitt faces a huge test on September 18 when a staunch Bengals D comes to play, and tickets for that game start at $113.

The third preseason game might be the one that matters most in preparation for the season opener, and that’s fine with Pittsburgh fans. Beating the Saints on August 26 was the team’s first preseason victory, but the offense looked excellent in the win and the team was able to dominate the first half on both sides of the ball. With Big Ben throwing to Antonio Brown, the passing game isn’t really in doubt, and if the running backs can find their groove, Terrible Towel wavers can start setting their sights on a run to the postseason. The Steelers first home game is on September 18 against the division rival Cincinnati Bengals, and tickets start as low as $136.

As the Pittsburgh Steelers get ready for the 2016-2017 season, it’s becoming clearer every day the high hopes the team has for running backs DeAngelo Williams and Le’Veon Bell. Their success is essential to the team this season, and coaches having been working them hard during training camp. Luckily, Pittsburgh has a great group of RBs this year, and will be able to keep Le’Veon and DeAngelo out for Aug. 18’s preseason game against the Eagles to help prevent injury. Christian Powell, Cameron Stingily, Daryl Richardson, Fitzgerald Toussaint and Brandon Brown-Dukes will have their opportunity to shine in the match, scheduled for a 7:00 PM kickoff at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. Get your tickets now for $15!

Heading into the second week of the NFL preseason, the Pittsburgh Steelers have made some key changes to their roster after a loss to the Detroit Lions Friday night. It’s not uncommon for injured players to lose their place on the starting lineup, and such was the case for Roy Philon, Ross Ventron and Brian Mihalik this week. The Steelers have called up Wade Hansen, Julian Whigham and Khaynin Mosley-Smith in their place, and the new additions will have little time to get accustomed to their new team before heading into battle. The Steelers welcome the Philadelphia Eagles to Heinz Field on Thursday, Aug. 18, for the second game of the preseason. Tickets are available now!

The Pittsburgh Steelers are undoubtedly looking for revenge as they head into the 2016-2017 NFL pre-season. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and the rest of the team managed to make it to the 2016 NFC Divisional match before losing at the hands of Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos, who would go on to win the Super Bowl. This season, they’ll kick things off against the Detroit Lions in a pre-season warm up game on Friday, August 12. Tickets to the face off at Heinz Field are already available for purchase starting at prices as low as $13. Tickets to the regular season home opener on September 18 against the Cincinnati Bengals are $62 and up.

Pittsburgh Steelers Matchups

Steelers vs Ravens Tickets

One of the most physical and intense rivalries in the AFC North, these two teams simply do not like each other. Having first established the edge by beating the Ravens in September of 1996 the Steelers have continued to beat the Ravens to an overall record of 24 wins and 20 losses. Furthermore the two teams have met in the postseason four times where the Steelers own the Ravens with a 3-1 advantage. While the Ravens may have the most recent Super Bowl the Steelers certainly have more, accruing 8 Super Bowls over their franchise history. If the Steelers are to take the division for the second time in three years they’ll need to be ready as they play host to the Ravens Christmas Day at Heinz Field.

Steelers vs Browns Tickets

An older geographic rivalry that has been around since these two teams first met in 1950 can be described simply as domination. The Steelers have owned the Browns since their inception, posting a career record of 70 wins compared to 58 losses. Separated by a mere two hour drive via I-76, the Turnpike rivalry promises to be sensational this year with the Steelers out to take the division and win their ninth Super Bowl. The Steelers better be prepared as they take on the Browns on New Year’s Day at Heinz Field.

Steelers vs Bengals Tickets

The Steelers and the Bengals offer a rivalry that has been around since November of 1970 when the Steelers beat the Bengals by a score of 21 to 10. Since then not much has changed, the two teams play and the Steelers win. The Steelers dominate this series with the Bengals, holding 58 wins compared to 35 losses. While it is true that the Bengals may have taken the division last year there is no doubt amongst Steeler nation that Big Ben can lead them back to the Promised Land. Roethlisberger and the Steelers will have to be ready as they play host to the Bengals on Sunday, September 18th at Heinz Field.
