Not a lot of people predicted that the Houston Texans would make it out of the first round of the playoffs. Those who doubted Houston apparently forgot how ferocious the team’s defense can be. Facing a rookie quarterback making his first ever start, the Texans had no trouble keeping the Oakland Raiders’ offense in check. Houston got out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter and never trailed in the contest. The Texans now face a real challenge as the team heads to New England to face Tom Brady and the Pats. For the fourth time in team history, the Houston Texans have qualified for the NFL playoffs. Houston won the AFC South by finishing with a 9-7 record.
