Wisconsin Badgers Football News

The Wisconsin Badgers football team is calling for change after a racist fan put a damper on a recent home game. The unfortunate and upsetting incident clearly shook up some of the players, who called on their university officials to implement some policies to help protect against racism. Despite the controversy, the No. 7 Badgers remain focused and continue their quest for a postseason appearance this week. They’ll face the Illinois Fighting Illini this Saturday, Nov. 12, at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin. It’s one of the last home games of the season, so be sure to get your end zone of sideline seats now! Our ticket prices start at $56.

The Wisconsin Badgers football program is one of the top teams in the nation as they hold tight to the number eight spot on the rankings. Last week the Badgers had a week off, but during week five they took on one of the toughest teams in the nation, the Michigan Wolverines. Both teams fought hard and deep during the game, but it all came down to a big pass that was made by the Wolverines during the end of the fourth quarter. Amara Darboh, for the Wolverines, caught the 46-yard touchdown pass that gave the Michigan team the 14-7 win over the Badgers. See if the bye week gave the Badgers enough time to recuperate when they take on Ohio State.

Fans of Wisconsin Badgers football are always ready for their team to make a run for the national title. Those expectations will certainly be there in 2016, though people still aren’t sure which quarterback will be leading the team when the season kicks off in early September. It’s looking like redshirt freshman Alex Hornibrook might land the starting job, though he’s still in competition with fifth year senior Bart Houston. While the Badgers typically play a ground and pound style, you can’t underestimate how important the quarterback is for any offense. No matter who takes the helm, that player will be quickly tested when Wisconsin hosts LSU for the season opener on September 3 at Lambeau Field. Tickets for that game start as low as $165.

Even though the season for college football hasn’t begun, most Wisconsin Badgers football fans were hoping there would be a decision on who would be starting in the quarterback position for the Badgers. Unfortunately, the quarterback position has not been settled. Right now senior, Bart Houston and redshirt freshman, Alex Hornibrook are battling it out in the practice squads. Houston had an impressive year in 2015, but Hornibrook has had moments of absolute brilliance in the camps these past few months. It will be exciting to see whom the coaching staff decides to put in as the starting player. See for yourself when you purchase tickets this season from Razorgator.
