Texas Tech is going to be taking on Louisiana State University for this year’s Texas Bowl game. Obviously, Texas Tech may have some home court advantage for the game, but this doesn’t mean that LSU won’t be bringing their A game. Tickets for the game are still up for grabs and start around $30 apiece. The game will be held at the NRG Stadium in Houston, TX on December 29 at 8:00 pm. So if you are looking for a way to stay entertained before the New Year arrives, the Texas Bowl is your answer.
12/9/14 - On December 29th, Houston residents will be welcoming long-time rivals the Texas Longhorns and the Arkansas Razorbacks, following Sunday night’s announcement that the teams had accepted bids to play in the 2014 Texas Bowl. In their first season under new head coach Charlie Strong, the Longhorns have an overall record of 6-6 in the regular season. The powerhouse has had a stellar running game this year, thanks to running backs Jonathan Gray and Malcolm Brown. Jonathan Williams and Alex Collins, running backs for the Razorbacks, have each ran the ball for over 1,000 yards this season. Both offenses will have their work cut out for them, as the defenses for both teams have been extremely effective this year. The matchup will be broadcast live on ESPN. Tickets are still for sale on Razorgator, starting at $51.
