Despite not being ranked at the season’s conclusion, it looks like Wisconsin is in for happy holidays regardless. The Badgers earned the right to face No. 25 USC in this year’s Holiday Bowl, which kicks off Dec. 30 at Qualcomm Stadium. The Trojans completed their run as Pac-12 South champs this year, amassing an 8-5 overall record to finish among nationally-ranked competition. They’ll look to build on their 40-21 triumph over SoCal rival UCLA and score a win against the defense-minded Badgers in the final game of each team’s season. 2014 Season

12/8/14 - The No. 24 USC Trojans and the No. 25 Nebraska Cornhuskers were recently confirmed as the opponents for the 2014 Holiday Bowl. The game will be held December 27th at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California, and will be broadcast live on ESPN. The teams have never met in a bowl game, and only four times in regular season play. Both teams are notorious for having die-hard fans that will show up in droves, which will make for an exciting atmosphere. Steve Karkisian, first year coach for the Trojans, has a united team that has a season record of 8-4. Nebraska is also going through a coaching change as they head into the post season. They recently announced that they have hired Mike Riley to replace Bo Pelini, who was fired last week. Tickets for the game are still available, starting at $91.
