NCAA First-Second Round - Spokane 2016 News and Updates

3/13/16 - Oregon landed the West's No. 1 seed after winning the Pac 12 Tournament and will play the winner of Holy Cross / Southern in its first round game in Spokane. Also playing in Session 2 at Spokane Arena are St. Joseph's and Cincinnati. St. Joe's won the A-10 tournament this weekend. Earlier in the day, Session 1 features California vs Hawaii and Maryland vs South Dakota St.

3/11/16 - The state of Washington does not have an NBA team to cheer for, so for basketball enthusiasts, catching a live, highly skilled basketball game is hard to come by. The West Regional was hosted by Los Angeles in 2015, and highlights included a 67-65 North Carolina win over Harvard, a 57-56 upset of Baylor by the Georgia State Panthers as well as No. 10 Ohio State shaking things up by taking down No. 7 VCU, 75-52. 2/5/14 - March Madness returns to Spokane for the fourth time in tournament history but first since 2003! Washington State University will be the host school when the second and third round games of the 2014 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament are played March 20 and 22 at Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena. Up to 12,210 NCAA 2nd and 3rd round tickets will be sold as the best teams in College Basketball culminate to play in Spokane on their road to the Final Four.

A majority of the second and third round teams will be finalized March 16, 2014 when the NCAA selection committee makes their final decisions on Selection Sunday. First Four winners will be known by Tuesday evening allowing enough time for teams to travel to their second round site. On Thursday, March 20, four games will be played at Spokane Arena in two sessions, one in the afternoon and one at night. Single session tickets, that include two games, are available for the Thursday afternoon ($62 get-in) and night ($84 get-in) today! The four winners from the second round will advance to the third round on Saturday, March 22 (Session 3). Session 3 will also feature two games. Third round NCAA Tournament tickets in Spokane range from $137-$378. The two winners from the third round will advance to the Sweet 16 and Regional action.

Seattle will host the second and third rounds of the 2015 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. It will be the City’s 16th time hosting the tournament, but first since 2004. Key Arena was once home to the Seattle Sonics.
