2/11/16 - In 2015, Providence earned the dubious distinction of falling in the first round of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament via upset. Entering the field ranked sixth in the East Regional set, the Friars were downed by No. 11 Dayton by a score of 66-53. This season, the program’s notched an 18-6 record through 24 contests, good for No. 20 in the AP Top 25 as of mid-February.
