Sacramento Kings News

DeMarcus Cousins is one of the most outstanding players in the league, leading his team in points per game, assists and rebounds. Although the Sacramento Kings are far from earning a postseason appearance, this week’s road wins over the Detroit pistons and Cleveland Cavaliers were undoubtedly a bright spot for Cousins and his teammates. During Wednesday’s contest in Cleveland, the center earned 11 rebounds, eight assists and 28 points to beat LeBron James and the rest of the reigning NBA champs. Sacramento finishes up a long road trip in Houston this Tuesday, Jan. 31, and will return to the Golden 1 Center on Friday, Feb. 3, against Phoenix. Tickets for all upcoming home and road games are available now!

The Sacramento Kings managed to snap their losing streak on Tuesday night when they hosted the Detroit Pistons. Although the Pistons had the lead going into halftime, the home team came charging back in the third and fourth quarters to seize the victory 100-96. While the win is certainly reason to celebrate, the Kings hardly have an easy road ahead of them. After playing the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday, they will host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday, January 15. Tickets to that game at Golden 1 Center are still on sale and available for purchase at prices starting as low as just $42. Buy yours now to be there!

Things haven’t gone exactly as planned so far this season, but the Sacramento Kings have to feel good about this week. Starting with last Tuesday’s home win over Portland, the Kings have now won four in a row, a streak that includes two on the road in Utah and Minnesota just before Christmas. At eighth place in the Western Conference, Sacramento now stands a chance at earning a spot in the playoffs, but only if they can keep up the winning pace. The Kings are scheduled to play the Memphis Grizzlies at home this Saturday, Dec. 31. Tickets at the Golden 1 Center can be yours today for $43 and up.

The Sacramento Kings are off to a bad start on their three-game road trip. The Kings were hopeful that Monday’s win over the Lakers was a sign of good things to come, but instead they suffered a 132-98 stomping by the Houston Rockets Wednesday. The Kings are now 9-16 overall and are ranked tenth in the NBA East. Up next, they travel south for games on Friday and Sunday (Dec. 16 and 18) against the Grizzlies and the Mavericks. Following that, they’ll return to Sacramento for a game with the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday, Dec. 20, at the Golden 1 Center. Tickets for all upcoming games can be purchased from us now.

The Sacramento Kings suffered a devastating loss earlier this week, particularly because it came on the road in overtime. Sacramento visited the Washington Wizards on Monday night. The visitors had the lead going into halftime, although it was clear it was going to be a close game. By the end of the fourth quarter, things were all tied up 92 - 92. Unfortunately for Sacramento, the Wizards managed to outscore them in the overtime session 9 - 3 to win the game 101 - 95. This is only the second of several away games for the Kings, who return to Golden 1 Center on Friday, December 9 to host the New York Knicks. Tickets to that game are $38 and up.

The Sacramento Kings are experiencing some particularly devastating losses lately. Last Thursday, for example, they blew their home game against the Los Angeles Lakers 91 - 101. Then, on Friday, they went into overtime against the Portland Trail Blazers on the road. Just when it looked like they were going to come home victorious, the Trail Blazers pulled off the last shot to win the game 122 - 120. Sacramento returns home this Friday, November 18, to host the Los Angeles Clippers at Golden 1 Center. Tickets to the game are already on sale and are currently available for $43 and up. The Sacramento Kings had such a close call to winning one of the biggest games yet this season. On November 1, the Kings took on the Miami Heat for the Kings fifth game of the season. The Kings kept up with the Heat throughout the entire game, thanks to Gay’s 30 points and 12 rebounds. The Kings even rallied back in the fourth quarter to outscore the Heat by six points, sending both teams to overtime. Unfortunately, the Kings couldn’t hold on any longer and instead ran out of gas after regulation time. The Heat ended up winning the game 108-96. See what the Kings can do on the court when they play against the Milwaukee Bucks on November 5.

The Sacramento Kings have been one of the lowest teams on the totem pole for the last few years and just like any season, they are trying their best to pull out of the slump. With preseason underway, the Sacramento Kings have won two of their five games and are sitting in fourth place in the Pacific standings. Their last game was held on October 18 against the Los Angeles Clippers. The Kings started out strong and looked like they had a good chance to take home the win if they could hold off the Clippers. Unfortunately, the Clippers came back in the second quarter to outscore the Kings 30-13. The Kings weren’t able to recover from the deficit, giving the Clippers the 92-89 win.
