New York Knicks News

It is hard to feel sorry for the New York Knicks when they have someone like Carmelo Anthony on their side. In last Thursday’s match with the Wizards, the star forward had a 20-point quarter, but the Knicks still couldn’t get the win. The final score was 110-113 in front of the crowd at Madison Square Garden, meaning it’s been more than two weeks since New York gave their team a win at home. At No. 11 in the Western Conference, it’s not likely Anthony will get a shot at a playoff appearance this season unless things turn around quickly. The Knicks face the Hornets this Friday, Jan. 27, at MSG. Tickets are available now for $90.

It hasn't been a great week for the New York Knicks, who have tried to salvage their season by keeping their best players on the court despite working through injuries. Kristaps Porzingis is working through a problem with his heel and Carmelo Anthony is nursing a sore shoulder, not exactly what the Knicks need at nearly halfway through the NBA season. Much of the early momentum New York had has now faded, but Jeff Hornacek and the team aren't ready to throw in the towel just yet. Their upcoming schedule includes a game in Toronto this Sunday, Jan. 15, and a home game on Monday, Jan. 16, against Atlanta. Get your tickets now starting at $55 each!

They keep rising in the rankings, and many are starting to talk about the New York Knicks as potential playoff contenders. The chatter is welcome for fans; the Knicks have missed three postseasons in a row and have undergone some drastic coaching and roster changes in recent years. Now, with Jeff Hornacek as head coach and Derrick Rose, Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis all on board, New York is 16-14 and comes in at No. 14 in this week’s NBA standings. The Knicks finish up a road trip this Saturday at Houston, returning to Madison Square Garden Monday, Jan. 2, to play Orlando. Tickets can be yours today for $91 and up.

Phil Jackson, President of the New York Knicks, is no stranger to making headlines, and this week his team is making waves in the NBA for their impressive rise in the standings. Although the long-time Lakers coach still sparks controversy, several of his decisions have helped the Knicks to the No. 4 spot in the Eastern Conference. Coach Jeff Hornacek, and players like Carmelo Anthony, Brandon Jennings, Derrick Rose and Kristaps Porzingis are all a part of the team in large part to Jackson. New York hopes to continue rising in the rankings this week with three home games, starting with the Pacers on Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Madison Square Garden. Get tickets from us today for $90 and up.

For the New York Knicks, ball movement from Derrick Rose is a must. Although he is a gifted scorer, he is perhaps most helpful to his team when he leads in assists. Creating looks for Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis is perhaps Rose’s most crucial role, and when he has five or more assists in a game the Knicks are 5-3. When he doesn’t, they’re 3-6. New York has lost the last two games in a row, and are looking to pick things up this Friday, Dec. 2, at home against the Timberwolves. On Sunday, Dec. 4, they’ll continue the stretch at Madison Square Garden against the Kings. Tickets for both games are on sale now for $66 and up!

The New York Knicks haven't gotten off to the start that fans hoped for in the offseason, but a strong third quarter in a win against the Dallas Mavericks on November 14 showed that the team might be turning a corner. Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis both scored 24 points and the Knicks used a small lineup in the second half to run away from the outmatched Mavericks. The roster tweak might become a more permanent fixture of the Knicks rotation if this type of play continues. New York’s small lineup will be tested when an explosive Charlotte Hornets team comes to town on November 25. Tickets for that game start at $81.

There’s good news and bad news for the fans that have such high hopes for the New York Knicks in the 2016-2017 season. The good news is that only a few games have been played. The bad news is that the Knicks haven’t looked very good in any of them. New York was simply outmatched in a recent game against the Detroit Pistons, scoring only 89 points and trailing for almost the entire 48 minutes. It might be that the NY players need time to get used to each other, but hopefully that won’t take much longer. The Knicks will look to get back on track when the lowly Dallas Mavericks come to town on November 14. Tickets for that game start at $61.

With this new and improved New York Knicks roster, fans can expect to see a different leading scorer every night of the week. In a recent preseason battle against the Boston Celtics, it was Kristaps Porzingis who led the way, netting 20 points as the Knicks went on to beat the Celtics 121-96. There’s no question that New York has the talent to contend with any team in the East, just as long as the players are able to settle into their new roles and develop some chemistry. The Knicks will have a mighty test when the Memphis Grizzlies come to Madison Square Garden on October 29. Tickets are available for that game starting at $128.

Few teams shook up their rosters more than the New York Knicks this offseason, and the additions of Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah show that ownership is doing everything possible to get the Knickerbockers back to prominence in the Eastern Conference. For six straight years, no Eastern team without LeBron James on the roster has made it to the NBA Finals, but New York now has the talent to potentially put an end to that streak. This will finally be the year when fans get to see what Carmelo Anthony can do with other star players around him. Preseason hoops come to Madison Square Garden on October 8 when the Knicks host the Brooklyn Nets, and tickets start at $52.
