Brooklyn Nets News

The Brooklyn Nets cannot seem to snap their slump. After Sunday’s loss to the Portland Trail Blazers, the Nets have now lost their last four games in a row. Sadly, the most recent defeat came at home. Even worse, it was a close match all the way until the final minutes. Ultimately, however, the Trail Blazers left with the win in a 129 - 109 result. Brooklyn needs all the support they can get if they want to climb out of their 4 - 9 hole of a record. Be there on Sunday, November 27 when they host the Sacramento Kings. Tickets are on sale and available for $12 and up.

The Brooklyn Nets got off to a slow start to the season, but recent wins over the Pistons and Timberwolves show that the team might be getting things back on track. Hosting Minnesota on November 8, the Nets played excellent defense in the third quarter, holding the Timberwolves to just 19 points. The strong defensive play continued in the fourth and Brooklyn went on to win by a final of 119-110. Brook Lopez scored 26 in the game, which is the type of scoring output the team needs from its star center. The Nets’ next home game will be against the Portland Trail Blazers on November 20, with tickets starting as low as $22.

While the Brooklyn Nets didn’t come away with a win in the team’s first game of the season against the Boston Celtics, the Nets did manage to make a late run and almost pulled off an improbable upset. Brooklyn took 44 shots from beyond the arc against Boston, and while only 15 of those shots found the bottom of the net, a late three-pointer from Bojan Bogdanovic cut the Celtics lead to three with under a minute to play. It was too little too late, unfortunately, and the Nets ended up losing by five. The Nets get to head home for the next few games, including a matchup against the Detroit Pistons on November 2. Tickets for that game start as low as $11.

As the preseason comes to a close, the Brooklyn Nets are still looking to find some sort of rhythm. The team has lost a few players since last year and is trying to work in the replacements that can hopefully carry the group toward the postseason. After losing to the Miami Heat on October 12, the team is trying to find a source of scoring outside of Brooke Lopez, who did not play in the game against Miami. Jeremy Lin was able to total 16 points, but the coaches are hoping to discover a more consistent option. The Nets will host the Pacers in the regular season home opener on October 28, and tickets for that game start as low as $24.

The Brooklyn Nets start their preseason with a game at home against the Pistons on October 6. After an active time signing multiple players during the free agent period, the team is looking to rebuild the team. New head coach Kenny Atkinson and general manager Sean Marks are working hard to develop a team that will give results and do better than last season. The current projected starting lineup for the team includes Randy Foye and Jeremy Lin at the guard positions, Luis Scola as a forward, Bojan Bogdanovic as a guard and forward, and Brook Lopez at the center. The team's efforts will be tested as the preseason begins. Get your tickets for the first preseason game or any other game this season with prices starting at $5.
