Toronto Blue Jays News

The Toronto Blue Jays are just 12-21 this season, but they aren’t letting that statistic crush their spirits. In fact, the Blue Jays have won three out of their last five games and a series against the Tampa Bay Rays. On Monday night, Toronto hosted the Cleveland Indians. The Blue Jays took the early lead, scoring a pair of runs in both the second and third innings. Although Cleveland attempted the come-from-behind win with two runs of their own in the eighth inning, they could not pull off the rally. Toronto won the match 4-2. Catch them when they host the Seattle Mariners this Saturday, May 13. Tickets are $4 and up.

Unfortunately for Toronto Blue Jays fans, the team’s comeback bid against the Boston Red Sox fell just short on April 18. Jays’ starter Marcus Stroman gave up three runs in two different innings, and the Red Sox tacked on two more to take an 8-4 lead into the ninth inning. Fueled by the excitement of the home crowd, Toronto mustered three runs in the bottom of the ninth, closing Boston’s lead to just a single run before Devon Travis popped out to end the game. The Jays are off to a rocky start in 2017, though there’s still plenty of time to turn things around. Tampa Bay comes to town on April 28, and tickets are available starting at $3.
