The Oakland Athletics were off to a great start against the Texas Rangers on Wednesday night, but it ended up being one of their most disappointing games of the season. The A’s were dominating the Texans with a 5-0 lead and Sonny Gray playing out of his mind. However, the Texans weren’t willing to give up the victory that easily. The Rangers were able to tie it up with five runs in the sixth inning, and topped it off with a home run in both the seventh and eighth inning. Needless to say, the A’s left the game in complete shock. See if they are able to recover when they take on the Los Angeles Angels on June 17. Tickets are still available.

Yesterday was a particularly tough defeat, as the Seattle Mariners managed to edge them out 6-5 in the last two innings. Oakland led the game 5-2 after an explosive sixth inning, and it looked like the A’s would take home the win. Seattle came surging back with two runs in both the eighth and ninth innings to lock up the victory. The A’s have one more match with the Mariners today before coming home to face the Detroit Tigers on Friday, May 27. Tickets are $9 and up.

Oakland will have three more opportunities for redemption, however, so don’t count them out of the competition! Their next home game is against the Houston Astros on Friday, April 29.
