New York Yankees News

The New York Yankees have been on an absolute roll lately, but no game has been as decisively exhilarating as their clash with the Chicago Cubs last Sunday. Two teams went for a combined, record-setting 48 strikeouts in a grueling battle that lasted 18 innings. Although the Yankees were at Chicago’s Wrigley Field for the game, they managed to eke out the hard-earned win 5-4 thanks to a grounder courtesy of Starlin Castro. Catch New York when they return to Yankee Stadium on Saturday, May 13, to host the Houston Astros. Tickets to the event are currently on sale and available for purchase starting at prices as low as $14.

Wednesday’s win over the White Sox means that the New York Yankees are one of the first MLB teams to win ten games this season. Taking the series 2-1, New York put on a show for their home crowd at Yankee Stadium. Back-to-back homers in the fifth from Starlin Castro and Aaron Judge energized the audience and the team, and the Yanks played excellent defense despite a mediocre night from pitcher Masahiro Tanaka. Up next, New York will play two series on the road, first in Pittsburgh and then in Boston, before returning home to face the Orioles for three starting Friday, April 28. Tickets for contests both home and away are available now.
