Can you believe that ZZ Top icon Billy F. Gibbons turned 66 a week ago? It’s a hard pill to swallow, given that he and the rest of the guys have been making incredible music since 1971. The rocker, who was born on December 16, 1949 celebrated his 66th birthday with friends and family, and will no doubt be set to have one of his best years yet. He and the rest of the band are eagerly preparing for their 2016 Tour, which will commence on Friday, March 18 at WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, OK. This will be a show for the ages, so get your tickets before they’re gone. Prices start at $80.

12/18/15 - It’s time to get out your cheap sunglasses, smoking jackets and great hats—ZZ Top is back on the road! The “Little Old Band From Texas” recently announced a run of spring shows, meaning that last year’s woes are over. After cancelling several tour dates due to injury, these long-bearded boogie rockers are back in shape and scheduled to make more than 20 stops all across the United States and Canada. The “Gimme All Your Lovin’” singers are sure to give you the time of your life when you purchase tickets to see them live. The opening show is slated for Saturday, March 19 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

2015 Tour

12/26/14 - The iconic rock and roll band, ZZ Top, is hitting the road again in mid-January 2015 in a co-headlining tour with English rocker Jeff Beck. The group had to end their summer 2014 tour rather abruptly after bass player Dusty Hill injured his hip in an accident on the tour bus. Although many of the dates that were canceled have been rescheduled, the band was unfortunately unable to reschedule all of the shows. Full refunds are being offered to those who had pre-purchased tickets to these concert dates. ZZ Top puts on an energetic rock set, full of brilliant instrumentals and unexpected theatrics. Their first appearance will be at the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio, TX on Saturday, January 17th. Tickets for that performance start at $95.

7/24/14 – ZZ Top has been forced to push back the beginning of their 2014 summer tour. The band’s co-vocalist, keyboardist and bass aficionado, Dusty Hill, must undergo surgery this week to remove some serious kidney stones. Though he is expected to make a full and quick recovery, ZZ Top concert dates from July 25 – Aug. 1 have subsequently been cancelled. ZZ Top will now open their tour on Aug. 8, with Jeff Beck, in Missoula.

ZZ Top has such an integral place in music that it's impossible to talk about rock and roll without mentioning the blues-rock pioneers. Founded in Texas in 1969, ZZ Top has consisted of Billy Gibbons (vocals/guitar), Dusty Hill (vocals/bass) and Frank Beard (drums) for over forty years. The group is known for their sheer musical mastery, technical genius and humorous lyrical inferences when recording and performing their mix of roots, blues and hard rock sounds. Maintaining their relevance in music over multiple decades, ZZ Top successfully integrated new wave, punk and synth rock later in their career.

Jimi Hendrix presaged guitarist Gibbons to be the next big thing in music and one of America's best young artists, and boy was he right. Following ZZ Top's debut in 1971 with First Album, this "Little Ol' Band from Texas" blew up stages everywhere, becoming a primary concert attraction through the decade. After 1983's Eliminator, ZZ Top was extremely popular on MTV, sold over 50 million albums worldwide, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. Their standout videos "Sharp Dressed Man and "Legs," along with their iconic beards and fur-lined guitars, cemented their status as pop culture icons.

Everyone knows ZZ Top's over-the-top performances consistently featured snakes, cattle, buffalo, cactus and more—not to mention, some of the best instrumentation in rock music history—so don't expect anything less from the rock-gods this time around! ZZ Top set the precedent for bands everywhere and now is your chance to see them live: the trio will tour for five weeks in support of La Futura, their 15th studio album, alongside fellow legend and English rock-hero, Jeff Beck. The tour will kick off in Missoula, MT (Aug 8) and hit Las Vegas, Denver, Boston and New York City before wrapping up in The Woodlands, TX on Sept 12. You've got to see this classic rock act when they roll into a town near you—lock in your ZZ Top tickets today!
