The Used 2013 West Coast Tour

The Used are heading to the West Coast for seven shows in a headlining tour supported by William Control. The alt-rock band most recently performed live at stops on the Warped Tour and as part of the 2013 Take Action Tour earlier this year. The trek will start October 15 in Fresno with shows in Sacramento, Santa Cruz, Reno, Spokane, and Boise to follow.

While waiting for the band’s sixth full length album expected out in early 2014, fans can take a listen to The Used latest EP titled The Ocean of the Sky which includes fan favorites “Iddy Biddy” and “Quixotica”. The first track on the experimental album “Iddy Biddy” has fans excited to see The Used live in concert with its energetic and edgy arrangement and lyrics. Lead vocalist Bert McCracken talked about the process of making the five-track EP saying that the group wanted to make something that “flowed from us naturally and capture the real sounds and integrity of the music.” The Used lyrics often tell the story of human life and dive into issues like birth, death, and the challenges in between.

Band members Quinn Allman, Jeph Howard, Bert McCracken, and Dan Whitesides are no strangers to being on the road. Following Whitesides addition to the band, the quartet was part of the Taste of Chaos tour in 2007 and then hit the road again following the release of Lies for the Liars. In 2008, The Used headlined the inaugural Get a Life Tour and then in 2009 toured with Three Days Grace and later with Chiodos and New Medicine. Last year, the band headlined a tour in early summer in support of Vulnerable.
