Sugar Ray Tour News and Updates
2014 Under the Sun Tour
Sugar Ray lined every radio station's summer playlist with a slew of hits beginning in the late 90s. The pop rock band formed in Newport Beach, California and became ubiquitous with songs "Every Morning," "Falls Apart," "Someday" and "When It's Over." Sugar Ray blends reggae, rock, funk and pop and is known for exciting live shows, highlighted by a '99 performance at Woodstock.
Originally a nu-metal band, Sugar Ray made their way into mainstream with sophomore album Floored. The effort spawned "Fly," a single so big that critics claimed it would render the band a one-hit wonder. Sugar Ray responded with 14:59, which went three times platinum and catapulted lead singer Mark McGrath into rock god status and a well-known TV personality. Following the success of the early 2000s, the band experienced a period of inactivity, but now, Sugar Ray is back and as ready to rock as ever!
Similar to the 90s nostalgia "Summerland" Tour, Mark McGrath announced his own "Under the Sun" Tour with contemporary alterna-pop and alt-rock bands. Smash Mouth, Blues Traveler, Uncle Kracker and Gin Blossoms will join in on the fun that begins on June 27 in Omaha, NE and ends Aug 15 in Marysville, WA. See the group in their native California with Sugar Ray tickets in Saratoga (get-in for $81 on 8/11) and Los Angeles (get-in for $156 on 8/12).
