Pennywise Tour News and Updates

Last week, Pennywise premiered the new song “Violence Never Ending,” the first track off forthcoming album Yesterdays. The latest work features a collection of old songs, as well as a number of revamped b-sides. According to the band, “This album represents who we were before the outside world came along and changed everything. The good old days,” which means fans are in for some unabashedly authentic Pennywise songs! The SoCal punk legends will release their eleventh studio album on July 15, and you can find them rocking the stage in 2014 with Pennywise tickets. The band will play their native California with shows at Santa Ana’s Observatory (July 16) and LA’s The House of Blues (July 18). After that, they’ll be on tour with The Offspring for a huge summer run starting late-July. Buy your Pennywise tickets and hear songs from one of punk’s finest live!

Legendary power punk band, Pennywise, formed out of Hermosa Beach, California in the late-80s. The group's moniker is derived from Stephen King's horror novel of the same name and it's memorable character "It." Pennywise did not reach a wide audience until the 1995 release of About Time, riding the renewed popular interest in punk rock music. Their acclaim stems from the ability to weave funk-metal and skatepunk into hardcore sound, accompanied by more optimistic lyrics than some of their contemporaries.

Pennywise consistently puts out music, having released 10 studio albums across their prolific career, and are one of the best-selling indie punk bands of all time. The group was on the dawn of Green Day-proportioned success, but internal strife and the suicide of bassist Jason Thirsk, obstructed the Pennywise's growth. The high school friends grew stronger after their late-90s turmoil and recruited Zoli Teglas (Ignite) when their original lead singer amicably parted ways with the group.

There hasn't been a better time to buy Pennywise tickets than now. With frontman Jim Linberg returning to the lineup in 2012, you can see the original Pennywise (Fletcher Dragge-guitar, Randy Bradbury-bass, Byron McMackin-drums) in all their hardcore glory. Pennywise has teamed up with other perennial So-Cal acts, Bad Religion and The Offspring, on the "Summer Nationals" Tour. Kicking off 7/29 in Pittsburgh, the three groups will tour through the end of summer, wrapping up 9/11 in Council Bluffs, IA. Get your Pennywise tickets today and see the original lineup in their element, on the biggest punk tour we've seen in years!
