OK Go Tour News
In support of the band’s new album Hungry Ghosts, OK Go will hit the road for their 2015 tour this Spring. The anticipated theater tour includes 30 cities with stops in San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Chicago, Boston, New York, Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles among others. Known for their highly interactive live show, you don’t want to miss the Grammy-winning band as they promise plenty of surprises. Kicking off March 21 at The Warfield in San Francisco and wrapping at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on May 2, Damian Kulash, Tim Nordwind, Dan Konopka, and Andy Ross are sure to put on an innovative and creative show that will impress fans just as they do with their music videos.
OK Go is an alternative rock group that considers visual artistry in their work as much as musical. Their catchy and quirky indie rock sound is compounded by oft-mindboggling music videos, starting with their first homemade accompaniment to “A Million Ways.” The band shot to fame with their song “Here it Goes Again” and the now-iconic music video that features the band performing elaborate sequences on moving treadmills in one single take. The video was awarded the 2007 Grammy for Best Music Video and is named one of Time Magazine’s “30 All-TIME Best Music Videos.”
Hailing from Chicago, OK Go is comprised of Damian Kulash (lead vocals/guitar), Tim Nordwind (bass/vocals), Dan Konopka (drums) and Andy Ross (keyboards/vocals). Their videos are art projects that go viral, they’ve been called the “world’s most creative band” and their music is a ripe blend of retro indie pop. OK Go is known to have entirely immersive live sets, full of color, confetti, props and more, making them a must-see band on the concert circuit.
OK Go released four songs on the Upside Out EP earlier this year, preceding the release of their fourth full-length album “Hungry Ghosts” due this fall. The band dropped a video for their first single “The Writing’s on the Wall,” which unsurprisingly went viral, racking up 9.5 million views in one month’s time. After a long break from touring, OK Go will hit the road this summer and fall in support of their forthcoming release. Starting in Salt Lake City on Aug. 8, OK Go will snake across the US before wrapping up Sept. 27 in Nashville. Buy OK Go tickets and see this groundbreaking band live!
