KROQ Epicenter Festival News and Updates
The KROQ Epicenter Festival will bring rock music to Southern California for the 5th year on 8/21. For the 3rd consecutive year, the event will be held at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater
in Irvine. Last year’s festival was highlighted by performances from Stone Temple Pilots, Deftones and Bush. Other past headliners include Tool, Linkin Park, Kiss, Eminem, and Blink 182.
For the five-year anniversary, the lineup may be the best in the festival’s history. This year’s lineup honors both Southern California’s rock heritage
, as well as new and upcoming artists. Headliners for 2013 include native Socal bands The Offspring, Bad Religion, Pennywise, and Pierce the Veil. The lineup is rounded out by A Day to Remember, All Time Low, The Wonder Years, Falling in Reverse, FIDLAR, New Beat Fund, and Plague Vendo.
Tickets for Epicenter 2013 are averaging $204, down 15% since the beginning of July. The least expensive tickets are for the Lawn, which allows room for groups to watch their favorite main stage acts together. The venue also features a pit section directly in front of the stage for fans that want the most action. With the Pit and the Lawn both being general admission, fans will want to show up early. Unlike other festivals, some of the top performances may come early in the day.
