On April 10, Bette Midler stopped by the Ellen show and surprised one of her biggest fans, who also happens to be a writer on the hit TV talk show. Bette, who was visiting with Ellen to promote her upcoming “Divine Intervention” tour, gifted her superfan a ukulele and told her that she needed to learn how to play and then join her on the road. 1/14/15 - The date of the Bette Midler tour is fast approaching. On May 8th, the tour will begin in Hollywood, FL, and it will be the first time she has performed on the road in more than a decade. Following that, however, she will be performing a string of shows in the United Kingdom, which will be the first in more than 35 years. Yes, the last time The Divine Miss M sang in Great Britain was in 1980, but she is set to return in July. First she will delight audiences in the United States for her much anticipated tour, which will culminate in New York on June 26th. Tickets are already available for all her shows, the first of which in Florida going for $143.
11/6/14 - The Divine Miss M is back in a big way! Bette Midler is touring for the first time in over a decade in support of her new album It’s The Girls! Due out Tuesday. Tracks from girl groups including TLC, the Supremes, and the Shirelles are encompassed including Midler’s versions of “Waterfalls” which hit No.5 on the Billboard Trending 140.
The 22-date tour begins in Hollywood, FL on May 8, 2015 and concludes at Madison Square Garden June 25. Major arenas including Phillips Arena, Smoothie King Arena, the Toyota Center, Pepsi Center, Staples Center, TD Garden, United Center, and Verizon Center are among the stops.
The three-time Grammy Award winner’s last concert tour was in 2003-2004. From 2008-2010 Midler performed The Showgirl Must Go On, a residency show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
