Chris Stapleton Tour News And Updates

Country stars were somewhat underrepresented at Lollapalooza this year, but Chris Stapleton made sure that country music fans got to see a performance they’d enjoy. Taking the stage on July 30, he got thousands to sing along to his hit song “Tennessee Whiskey,” and Stapleton ended up being one of the highlights of the massive, four-day festival. Lollapalooza was just a quick stop for the touring artist, and now he’s headed to play a few shows in the Southeast before heading to Texas. After performing with Hank Williams Jr. in West Palm Beach, Chris Stapleton will be at the River Road Ice House in New Braunfels, TX on August 11, and then Hank Williams will be rejoining him the following night in Houston.
… more

It seems like ages ago that Chris Stapleton released his first studio album. In reality, it was just in 2015 that “Traveler” climbed up the Billboard Top 200, and it’s only the fact that Stapleton has been nominated for a lifetime worth of awards that makes fans feel like he’s been performing as a solo act for decades. Chris is now touring around the U.S., bringing his unique sound and brilliant talents to fanatical crowds. Aside from his own hits like “Tennessee Whiskey,” this tour has featured great covers such as Tom Petty’s “You Don’t Know How it Feels.” On July 14, Chris will be in Farmingville, NY, and tickets for that show start at $28.

You may think that country music genre in general was less affected than others by the death of the legendary artist Prince this week, but there was at least one country artist who took the time to honor the musician this week. Most people who have heard Christ Stapleton sing know that he isn’t any ordinary country singer, and he proved it at an April 23 gig by performing his own version of “Nothing Compares 2 U.” The soul that emanates from Stapleton just goes to show that influences can come from where you might least expect. His tour continues this week with a May 1 show in San Diego, California.

Those who are familiar with Chris Stapleton know that he’s very deserving of the recent attention he’s been getting. His debut album has gone platinum, selling over one million copies since its release last year. Traveller earned major attention for its stripped down feel, free of all the frills that many country artists rely on these days. Stapleton was also a huge presence at this year’s ACM Awards, not only performing a stunning version of “Fire Away,” but also taking home the prize for Male Vocalist of the Year. Fans are now happy to learn that Stapleton is taking a road trip this spring and summer! He’ll be at the Mesa Amphitheatre in Mesa, Arizona, on April 14. Get your tickets for $67 and up!
