The Spongebob Musical
This clever cartoon made it to the box office and now it’s a musical! Often as appealing to adults as it is to the kids, you won’t even mind taking the family to see this lovable sponge who lives in a pineapple under the sea. Nickelodeon has made Spongebob thoroughly addictive through humor, heart, and all around goofiness. Now find out what he does when the underwater town of Bikini Bottom faces grave danger in the form of a destructive volcano. Expect to see the whole crew, including Sandy the Squirrel, Gary (Spongebob’s pet snail), pirates, and of course, Patrick! With overarching themes of determination and optimism, this show is more than just kooky nonsense, we swear.
The Spongebob Musical begins touring September 22nd and stops in cities like Schenectady, Hartford, Madison, Peoria, Huntsville, and more!
We Will Rock You
Bohemian Rhapsody just rocked the entire world by racking up Oscars, and if you liked it as much as the rest of us, you’ll love the musical. Originally based in London’s West End, this play has been wowing audiences in countries across the world with classics by Queen since 2002. It’s a story that’s based in the future (a future where rock music is forbidden – gasp!), but the most important thing is that this play contains more than 20 of Queen’s biggest songs. Think “Killer Queen,” “Don’t Stop Me Now,” “Another One Bites the Dust,” “Radio Ga Ga,” and obviously, “We Will Rock You.” This musical is basically a rock n’ roll singalong with such good music you won’t be able to look away.
We Will Rock You began touring in early September and hits cities like Champaign, Bozeman, Denver, Tulsa, and more!
The same team behind Chicago, Pippin, and Shakespeare in Love brings the story of Peter Pan to the stage. You saw the movie Finding Neverland (the one with Johnny Depp, that is), now go see the play! Premiering for the first time in England in 2012, the show was tweaked and changed before it made its way to Broadway in 2015. It follows the struggles of Peter Pan playwright JM Barrie as he finds inspiration through children. Another fun thing about this play: the temperamental fairy Tinkerbell requires the applause of the audience to stay alive! The story is fun for the whole family… just be wary of Captain Hook!
Finding Neverland will tour the nation through April 12, 2020, stopping in cities like Phoenix, Fresno, Galveston, Shreveport, Muncie, and more!
This is the one you’ve been waiting for. If you haven’t been able to get yourself to New York City or London to see the most talked-about musical in years, it’s finally time for Hamilton to (maybe) come to you! After snagging 11 Tony Awards, this play will be hitting the road in all its historic, Founding Fathers-style glory, so catch it while you can – tickets are sure to go fast no matter where you’re located! The story of Alexander Hamilton – the young immigrant who changed the face of America with his bold ideas – is told through hip-hop songs, fantastic choreography, and a groundbreaking diverse cast.
Hamilton is traveling the US through October 4th, 2020, spending time in cities like Chicago, Omaha, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Appleton, Nashville, Atlanta, and more!
One of those classic musicals that never dies, Miss Saigon tells the famous story of how a deployed American military man meets a young Vietnamese woman in a bar during the Vietnam War. She’s a poor orphaned teenager forced to work as a bargirl and he’s scheduled to leave Vietnam soon. Based on the opera Madame Butterfly which tells the same enthralling, tragic tale of romance, Miss Saigon is the thirteenth-longest running musical for good reason (it premiered in the West End in 1989). This performance features a talented cast of 42 people and favorite songs like “The Heat is On in Saigon” and “Last Night of the World.”
Miss Saigon is on the road through June 21, 2020 and stops in cities like Denver, Tempe, Salt Lake City, Seattle, Portland, and more!
