Bandstand

The same guy who choreographed Hamilton worked on Bandstand, so that’s one good reason to check it out. Set in 1945, this musical won three Tony Awards, so that’s another. Renowned for its fabulous music, storyline, and dancing, the play follows the story of American soldiers who come home from war to rebuild the lives they left behind – and they find it’s not so easy. Private First Class Donny Novitski is a singer and songwriter who enters a national competition held by NBC to find the best musicians in the country. Donny and some of his veteran friends get together to form a band and find a place where they belong.

Bandstand begins touring the country on October 26th, visiting towns like Albuquerque, Tulsa, Amarillo, Pittsburgh, Santa Barbara, and more!
