We’re already finished with Week 8 of NFL action and that means we’re basically through with half the regular season! As it stands, some teams are clearly out of the Super Bowl conversation, while other teams have risen to the top and shown us they’re the real deal. (Lookin’ at you, 49ers!) So who’s left in the discussion of Super Bowl Contenders? And what do Super Bowl odds look like right now? (Spoiler: The Patriots are still up there.) Here’s a look at all that and more, plus where you can shop cheap NFL tickets to see your favorite team!

Top 4 Super Bowl Contenders after Week 8
New England Patriots
Shocker. Brady and Bellichick are still undefeated. And get this – it’s only the third time in franchise history that New England has gone 8-0. No, they haven’t played that many great teams yet, but it’s still not surprising that Vegas is betting on them yet again! (Gosh, how many rings can Brady’s hand feasibly hold?) The Pats are heavy favorites to win the Super Bowl again in 2020. Sigh… Brady is just as good as he’s ever been while the AFC is looking super mediocre, and if this team can make it all the way, they have the experience, poise, confidence, and know-how to get it done. They’ve got a tough four-game stretch ahead of them, but man, the Pats are a tough team to bet against!
New Orleans Saints
After Drew Brees’s return this week, the Saints had to be up here. Vegans agrees. Despite Teddy Bridgewater’s excellent ability to step in and lead New Orleans to victory during Brees’s absence, we had our doubts about a Saints Super Bowl under a backup QB. Now that Brees has shown he’s back and better than ever – perhaps even superhuman – we feel strongly about this explosive offense and ever-improving defense taking them all the way. And now they’ve got a bye week coming up so Brees can get back to, uh, well, 120%?
Green Bay Packers
It’s about time that Aaron Rodgers is having the season he deserves. The Packers had a big win this week over the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead and now they’re sitting at the top of the NFC North with a record of 7-1. Of course, Mahomes didn’t play in that game, but Rodgers was still incredible with that fourth-quarter touchdown throw. While they’ll still have to watch out for the Vikings (and heck, the entire NFC is competitive), the MVP-caliber Rodgers is racking up ridiculous stats: He’s on pace to finish the regular season with 4,648 passing yards! The Packers offense is destructive right now. And it doesn’t hurt that they take on the not-so-hot Panthers and Chargers in their next two games. Then they’ll get a real test against the…
San Francisco 49ers
The only other undefeated team in the NFL this deep in the season, the 49ers aren’t playing around and we’re impressed. With Jimmy Garoppolo back in action, the awful 49ers of last year have disappeared and in their place has risen a team we’re actually calling a Super Bowl contender. Crazy how things change, right? After their dominant 51-13 pounding of the Panthers (who were on a little winning streak of their own) on Sunday, they look like one of the best teams in the league. We think they’ve got the fearsome defense and running game it takes to go far. At least well into the NFL Playoffs anyway. If it weren’t for a tough Seattle Seahawks team standing in the way of them winning the NFC West, we’d be even more excited about this 49ers team!
NFL Team Odds to Win Super Bowl LIV
We’re only going to list the top 15 teams with the best odds to win it all, because frankly, after that it just gets a little sad. As we step into Week 9 of the regular season, the NFC is looking way more dominant than the AFC, and we don’t see that changing anytime soon. It’s early, but here are the NFL teams most likely to win Super Bowl 54 in Miami.
Odds to Win Super Bowl 54 via OddsShark as of October 28:
|New England Patriots||+220|
|New Orleans Saints||+500|
|Green Bay Packers||+800|
|San Francisco 49ers||+800|
|Kansas City Chiefs||+1400|
|Los Angeles Rams||+1800|
We’ve still got three months until the Super Bowl, but with only two months left ’til the NFL Playoffs, things are starting to get interesting. If there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s never to bet against the Patriots. But we can’t wait to see how things shake out in the NFC!
