The stadium hosted its first event, a soccer match between Manchester United and FC Barcelona in August of 2003. Over half of the seats are on the sidelines, just 60 feet from the gridiron. There are two three-tiered grandstands that are located on both sides of the field. In addition, there are two deck sections of seats positioned past the end zones.
