The all-time record crowd of 85,319 for a football game in the state of Alabama was set at Jordan-Hare Stadium on Dec. 2, 1989. Auburn defeated unbeaten, untied and second-ranked Alabama 30-20 in the first Auburn-Alabama game played on the Plains.
In 2003, the entire floor of the field was replaced. The new ground is 6-8 inches deep and is a mix of sand and soil. The original crown is still there, but the grass is a hybrid of bermuda grass and sod. The current field was ready for play August of 2003.
The main lower grandstand surrounds the entire field and upper decks are located on both sides of the field. Luxury suites and the press box are located between the lower and upper decks. Located on the exterior of the east side of the stadium are ten large murals of great plays and alumni of Auburn football, including Bo Jackson.
It is time for you to join all Auburn fans to watch the Tigers play. Be sure to arrive in time to hear Eye of the Tiger played as the team enters the field! We have tickets to all events at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
