Wake Forest University is a private facility that was founded in 1834.The school really pushes their students to study abroad, offering a number of programs for the undergraduate students, as well as students in law school. Approximately 50% of the students at Wake Forest spend at least one semester studying abroad.
The Demon Deacons of Wake Forest University compete in the ultra-tough ACC. The Atlantic Coast Conference is a mighty conference for college basketball, but the Demon Deacons have been a consistent competitive force. Playing at Lawrence Joel Coliseum, Wake Forest tries to build on the success brought on by NBA superstar Tim Duncan. Football is big at the school as well, and fans pile into BB&T Field to support their heroes.
