The University of South Florida was established in 1956. Located in Tampa, Florida, USF has a student population high enough to consistently rank in the top ten nationwide. The University of South Florida is held in high regard for its research into cures for Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and Huntington's diseases.
The school may be fairly young, but USF has already established itself as a competitive power in the Big East Conference. The Bulls play their home football games at Raymond James Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and host opponents during basketball season at the Sun Dome. There is plenty else to do while in the Tampa area, so be sure to take in a show or concert at any of the great venues near the University of South Florida campus, including the Ford Amphitheatre, St. Pete Times Forum and Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center.
