The University of Cincinnati is a public research facility located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Founded back in 1819, this school is consistently one of the largest in the country with an enrollment over 35,000 students. The school is a big part of the community as well, being the largest employer in the Greater Cincinnati area. Notable alumni from the college includes NBA star Oscar Robertson, MMA fighter Rich Franklin and Hall of Fame MLB pitcher Sandy Koufax.
Well-known for their basketball program for many years, the Cincinnati Bearcats play their home games at the Fifth Third Bank Arena. Football season finds Bearcats fans rooting on their team over at Nippert Stadium.
