University of Arkansas

The University of Arkansas was founded in 1871 as a land grant research facility. Originally named Arkansas Industrial University, the school has strong reputation for its agriculture, architecture, business and creative writing programs. Notable alumni of the University of Arkansas include Admiral Vern Clark of the U.S. Navy, Hall of Fame NFL receiver Lance Alworth and football coach Jimmy Johnson, one of the few coaches to win both a national championship in college and the Super Bowl.

The Razorbacks battle in the Southeast Conference, playing their football games at Razorback Stadium. When it is time for basketball season, the Razorbacks head over to Bud Walton Arena. Take in all the great entertainment in the Fayetteville area during your visit to the University of Arkansas!
