Michigan State Spartans

Michigan State University was founded in 1855. A successful public research facility, MSU has distinct notoriety for having one of the top study-abroad programs of any university in the country. One of the primary agriculture schools when it first opened, MSU today is considered to be one of the nation’s Public Ivy schools, a reference to providing an Ivy League education at a public school price.

The Michigan State Spartans carry that academic pride over into athletics, with the Spartans possessing a strong reputation for being competitive in many sports. MSU holds the distinction of being the only school through 2009 to hold multiple national titles in football, basketball and ice hockey. Come see the Spartans take on all comers in football at Spartan Stadium, and their foes in basketball at Jack Breslin Student Events Center. For those that prefer music and shows, you can wander over to the Breslin Center as well, or check out the Wharton Center.
