Zarkana Theater News - 2013 Zarkana Cirque du Soleil Updates
“Zarkana” is considered a reincarnation of the variety show, a story of a magician in an empty theatre who has lost faith in love, magic, and life. The title is a fusion of the words “bizarre” and “arcana.” The set involves an elaborate re-creation of Radio City Music Hall
in NYC, no small feat indeed. Although this performance has a plot, there is no skimping on favorite Cirque acts like juggling, ladder duo, and highwire. The production was written by Francois Girard and began as a touring show in 2011. One year later, it took up permanent residence in Las Vegas. Come see it at its new home at the Aria Resort and Casino
, playing there now until the end of the year!
In Las Vegas fashion, there are two performances each night, one at 7:00 p.m. and one at 9:30. Mezzanine seating starts at just $93 and Zarkana tickets to the orchestra section start at $142. Even the most expensive seating for shows in September is $317, not bad at all, given the Vegas proclivity for excess. Shows are similarly priced throughout the fall and into December. There are two shows as usual on Christmas Eve, but the performance breaks for Christmas Day.
Even the last shows of this performance run, usually the most expensive of the bunch, are evenly priced with all the others. The last single show of the year is at 4:00 p.m. December 31st and is the only show scheduled for that day. The average price of Zarkana tickets
is $207, the third most expensive Cirque du Soleil show currently running.
