Cirque du Soleil: Love 2014 Las Vegas Shows
Perhaps the most inspiring Cirque du Soleil shows, Love, a celebration of The Beatles, should top the list of “Things To Do” when in Las Vegas. Love explores the lyrics and music from the world’s most influential band, through its 60 cast members that channel The Beatles’ beloved hits into physical manifestations. Love's high-flying acrobatics, impeccable dancing, interactive sets and gorgeous costumes have been attracting audience members to The Mirage Hotel and Casino since its inception.
Love takes the stories and characters from the British groups' repertoire such as Eleanor Rigby, Father McKenzie, Her Majesty, Krishna, Lady Madonna, Mr. Piggy, Sgt. Pepper, The Walrus and Kids of Liverpool through an unforgettable journey. Cirque du Soleil’s Love mirrors the band’s biography, from their squeaky-clean pop roots, to psychedelic experimentation and spiritual awakenings, culminating in a blissful “reunion”.
Love is a relatively new Cirque show, debuting in 2006, and has been awarded three Grammys through the use of original master tapes from Abbey Road Studios. It began when the late George Harrison started talking with friend and Cirque-founder Guy Laliberte about a possible show—the final product was made possible by Harrison’s widow Olivia, Yoko Ono, and surviving members Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr
. Each performance day features a 7:00PM and 9:30PM show that lasts 90 minutes, not including intermission, and tickets typically start at $137. Whether you’re a Beatles fan, or a Cirque du Soleil fan, you cannot miss Love at the Mirage on your next trip to Las Vegas!
