San Jose Earthquakes 2015 Season

7/10/15 - The San Jose Earthquakes continue to go back and forth between wins, losses, and draws. Their last game was against the Portland Timbers on July 5 and it was nothing short of exciting. In regulation time, both teams were on fire offensively, but so were both teams’ goalies. Neither team was able to sink one into the back of the net during the first or second half, so it all came down to stoppage time. Thirty seconds into the extra time, the Timbers were able to slam the ball into the back of the net putting them on the scoreboard. Unfortunately, the Earthquakes were unable to answer. See what they can do when they take on the Houston Dynamo on July 10. Tickets are still available and start at $27 a piece.

6/9/15 - The San Jose Earthquakes haven’t added many points to their overall season in their last three games, losing one to Toronto FC, and earning one goal in a tie with Orlando SC and no goals in their game against a FC Dallas, another draw. On Tuesday (6/16), the Quakes will be hosting the Sacramento Republic FC in the 2015 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Match. Tickets start at $21, and it will be an exciting matchup between the two teams. The Quakes are hosting the Los Angeles Galaxy at Stanford Stadium in Palo Alto on Saturday (6/27). Tickets are already on sale for this game, starting at $22. They’re going fast, so you’ll want to get them now to get the seats you want.

4/3/15 - With six points through their first four games, the San Jose Earthquakes are off to a decent start to the Major League Soccer campaign. The Quakes need to work on scoring goals at home, however; of the six goals they’ve scored as a team this season, four have come away from their new playpen, Aviva Stadium.

2014 Season

2014 marks the 40th anniversary of the founding of the San Jose Earthquakes (as a franchise in the old North American Soccer League), and to mark this occasion, the Quakes have recently unveiled a new badge and new kits – including a third kit in red and white to pay tribute to the old NASL Quakes. Easily the name to keep an eye on is that of goal-poaching forward Chris Wondolowski. “Wondo” has made himself a favorite of Quakes supporters for his proficiency in finishing scoring opportunities, and his scoring for club has drawn national-team attention as well. Down the road, the Quakes are set to inaugurate the Bay Area’s newest stadiums – opening Levi’s Stadium on August 2 of this year against Seattle; and then in 2015, moving into their own purpose-built stadium not far from the current location of Buck Shaw Stadium, their current home.
