2013 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo & Concerts
Although Rodeo Houston has a rich history in the world of livestock exhibitions, many flock to
Reliant Stadium to see their favorite artists take center stage at night, following the Rodeo events. Houston Rodeo attracts more than 2 million people and folks have come to expect great musical performances from all genres. In 2013, musical performances kick off February 25 with
Toby Keith and finish in front of a sold out crowd March 17 with
George Strait. George Strait’s Rodeo Houston Show sold 77,000 tickets in two minutes. Houston Rodeo tickets under $35 are currently available for all artists except George Strait.
It's been said that the diverse 2013 Rodeo Houston lineup is the strongest in the rodeo's history and includes Mary J. Blige, Pitbull and X Factor judge Demi Lovato, as well as numerous Country Music artists, like
Tim McGraw,
Kenny Chesney and
Jason Aldean. Eleven of the twenty-one artists performing at the Rodeo are either currently on tour or will be touring later in 2013. Seeing an artist at Rodeo Houston is usually much cheaper than seeing them headline a concert; in some cases, Rodeo Houston tickets are half the cost of a concert ticket. As for the remaining artists not on tour this year, it’s probably the only chance fans will get a chance to see the artist live.
