9/30/15 - Las Vegas is a city that is so famous for its glitz and glamour that it’s easy to forget that it is a part of the great and wild west. Every year in early December, however, the booming metropolis is reminded of its roots, as it is the home of the National Finals Rodeo. Cowboys from all over the country will compete for the biggest bragging rights in the rodeo world. The talent includes the best of the best, including the likes of Evan Jayne, Trevor Brazile and Will Lowe. All the fun happens beginning on Thursday, Dec. 3 and will run through Saturday, Dec. 12 at the Thomas & Mack Center.
9/23/15 - As the National Finals Rodeo approaches, the competition for a spot to compete is heating up. It sounds like most fans are expecting Trevor Brazile to earn his spot at the finals again, just like he did last year. He is currently ranked number one in the world for the all-around title. With the likes of Brazile at the finals, it is sure to be an action packed, exciting week. 9/16/15 - There are still several months to go until the National Finals Rodeo kicks off in December, but there is also still plenty of action going on behind the scenes. In fact, the Indian National Finals Rodeo decided to make a statement this week by cutting ties with the Washington Redskins franchise and foundation. Although the foundation was one of the division’s most significant sponsorships, the group agrees that they can’t in good conscience continue to endorse the team. 12/11/14 - After securing his record 12th all-around title on Saturday, Trevor Brazile looks to earn his third Triple Crown in Las Vegas and tie another all-time record, one held by Jim Shoulders since the late 1950s. Brazile already has the steer roping title to his name at this year’s National Finals Rodeo, and a win in team roping or tie-down roping would bring him his first Triple Crown since 2010, when he won titles in both those events. Many other stars will be on hand as well, including World Champion Bareback Rider Bobby Mote. Hill is one of the top bull riders in Montana history, and this will be Hill’s 3rd time competing at the NFR. 11/6/13 - We're a month out from NFR and if you haven't bought your National Finals Rodeo tickets, jump on it. The average price of a ticket this year is 29% more than last. 7/3/13 - Held annually at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, the Nationals Finals Rodeo is the Super Bowl of rodeo. The event spans ten days, and features the top bull riders in the sport competing for world championship titles in the final event of the PRCA season. From bull riding, to team roping, to steer wrestling, the Top-15 money winners from a multitude of different events face off throughout NFR. The 2013 NFR will take over Sin City from Thursday, December 5 to Saturday, December 14. At the conclusion of the final performance, the highest-earning cowboy who has competed in multiple events earns the title of “World All-Around Rodeo Champion”. In 2013, Texan Trevor Brazile aims to be the All-Around Cowboy for the eighth straight year.
The average price for 2013 NFR tickets is $213. The most expensive date is the final performance on 12/14, with an average National Finals Rodeo tickets price of $368. The least expensive performance is on Tuesday, 12/10, with an average NFR rodeo tickets price of $166. The five weekend rodeo performances are averaging $244, 36% higher than the five weekday performances at $180. Premium seats located in the Gold Buckle, the first five rows of the lower level, between the roping end and the bucking chutes, can sometimes cost over $1,500 per ticket. NFR tickets for the upper level balcony are much more affordable, typically starting below $75.
