• Wes Stevenson and Will Lowe share the world record for the highest
score in bareback riding. Stevenson earned a 94 in 2002, and Lowe tied
that mark the following year.

In 2001, Blaine Linaweaver and Jory Levy posted the fastest time ever
in the team roping competition with a lighting-quick mark of 3.5
seconds.
• 100
-- the highest possible grade for any school exam, and the highest
possible score in bull riding. Throughout the entire history of
professional rodeo, that seemingly unattainable mark has been reached
only once. In 1991, Wade Leslie achieved perfection, notching rodeo’s
only 100-point bull ride ever.
• Oral Zumwalt set the world
record in steer wresting in 1930 with an amazing time of 2.2 seconds.
Four cowboys -- Jim Bynum (1955), Todd Whatley (1955), Gene Melton
(1976) and Carl Deaton (1976) -- have each posted a time of 2.4 seconds.

Two cowboys share the world’s highest score in saddle bronc riding. In
1979, Doug Vold recorded a 95; Glen O’Neill matched that mark in 1996.
