Hosted at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina, this 500-mile race is the fifth race in the Chase for the Sprint Cup Series. Points will be at a premium in a battle that could make or break someone’s championship hopes. NASCAR moved the race from Sundays to Saturday nights and this year takes place on October 11. The 1.5 mile quad oval is the Mecca of motorsports and considered the home track for NASCAR. The complex also features a state-of-the-art quarter mile drag racing strip and clay oval.

Brad Keselowski is the defending champion but you can bank of some serious competition as the drivers all enjoy racing in prime-time. Despite the fact that all four of the Hendrick cars started in the top-six (including Jeff Gordon from the pole), Penske Racing walked away with the win. Buckle up NASCAR fans, we’ll likely see another back-and-forth battle! Bank of America 500 tickets start at $81 and there is plenty to do once you get to the track including acres full of interactive games, displays, music and souvenirs. Or rent yourself a scanner and listen in to your favorite drivers and crews as they compete to win. Don’t miss the only race in the chase to take place under the lights!
