The 2015 Spring Cup Series kicks off on Sunday, September 6 at the Darlington Raceway for the Bojangles Southern 500. After that, the Federated Auto Parts 400 will follow on Saturday, September 12 at the Richmond International Speedway. Both races are set to be a clash of titans, so don’t miss your opportunity to see your favorite drivers battle it out. Following the conclusion of the Sprint Cup Series, drivers will head back to the racetracks for the 2015 Chase for the Sprint Cup. The Chase kicks off with the MyAFibStory.com 400 on Sunday, September 20 at Chicagoland Speedway.

8/20/15 - Devoted NASCAR fans are still mourning the loss of the legendary fearless Buddy Baker, and family and friends gathered this week at a church in Charlotte to pay respects and say goodbye. Despite the melancholy, some encouraging news did emerge this week. Danica Patrick, perhaps the most important face in the sport currently, has signed a huge deal with a new sponsor. Nature’s Bakery will partner with Patrick and the rest of her team starting in 2016. This is a big deal for NASCAR, showing that big names other than those of the oil, tire, tool and petroleum industries are taking an interest. This weekend, the 2015 Spring Cup Series continues at Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee. Races will be broadcast on NBC stations to those who can’t be in attendance.

8/13/15 - Buddy Baker, one of NASCAR’s legends passed away on Monday, August 9 after he battled from lung cancer. Baker will go down in the record books as one of the fastest and most valiant drivers to ever hit the race track. His career was one that will not be forgotten and lasted for nearly 35 years. During those 35 years, he took home 19 titles in top level races and became the first driver in history to conquer the 200 mph mark on the Talladega track during a closure. Baker was known for not participating in the full race schedule, but made an impact on the races he did drive in. The NASCAR world will be celebrating his life and the sport on August 16 during the Pure Michigan 400 race.

8/5/15 - This week NASCAR has announced a new rule change for drivers, their pit crews and other team members. Crews were given notice of the changes on Wednesday via bulletin, which is just in time because the rule will be going into effect this weekend. The new standard is that teams who receive four written warnings will lose their chance at pit stall selection at the event following the fourth issued warning. As part of the change, all previous warnings were rescinded and all teams will start at zero this weekend at Watkins Glen in New York when they compete in the XFINITY Series and Sprint Cup. Written warnings can be issued to teams who require multiple attempts to pass a qualifying inspection along with other infractions.

7/29/15 - Bouncing back from a major wreck which cost him 11 races to start the season, Kyle Busch scored a huge win at the Brickyard 400 this week. The well-known racer broke his right leg and left foot in the crash, robbing him of nearly three months on the track for Joe Gibbs Racing. Joey Logano would place second on the day, followed by Kevin Harvick in his Chevy car, Martin Truex Jr., Denny Hamlin and finally Clint Bowyer rounding out the top six. Matt Kenseth finished in seventh place, marking a good day for Joe Gibbs’ team overall. NASCAR action comes to Pocono Raceway on August 2nd for the Pennsylvania 400. Secure your seats now starting at $33, but act fast because supplies are limited!

7/22/15 - Without even knowing he’d be in the race just two weeks before it ran, Christopher Bell was a long-shot at Eldora Speedway to say the least. It was Bell’s No. 54 Toyota that led for 106 laps out of the last 113 though, as he took first place on the dirt track which is known for unpredictable conditions. The 20-year-old still doesn’t know if he’ll get a chance to race again this year despite the victory, highlighting the uncertain nature of competition. Race fans will have plenty more to be excited about in the coming week, with the NASCAR Xfinity Series coming to Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday the 25th followed by Iowa Speedway on August 1st. Select seats are still available but you’ll have to act quickly!

7/15/15 - Kyle Busch and his No. 18 Toyota Camry prevailed at the Kentucky Speedway this past weekend, taking the checkered flag by outracing Joey Logano late in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. Busch was in control throughout the majority of the 400-mile contest, leading for 163 out of 267 laps overall. Logano made a strong push in the home stretch but was ultimately put away in the 248th lap to end all doubt. It was a great day for the Joe Gibbs Racing Toyotas in general, as Carl Edwards, Denny Hamlin and Matt Kenseth all placed in the top five for the day. The Sprint Cup Series continues on 7/19 in Loudon at the New Hampshire International Speedway. Tickets are on sale now starting at just $12!

7/8/15 - NASCAR has announced new rules package changes that will be in place for four of the final nine races of the Sprint Cup season, and possibly the Chase for the Sprint Cup. The Coke Zero 500 ended on a bad note on Sunday night, when there was one of the worst crashed in history. Denny Hamlin's number 11 machine made contact with Austin Dillon, which led to Dillon's car being ripped in half and dropping onto the track upside down. Crew members came onto the track to ensure he was fine, which broke a rule in place to ensure emergency crews can have access. Although there will not be any penalties, NASCAR will have discussions with the crew members who rushed the track. You can still get tickets for all of NASCAR's races on Razorgator.

7/1/15 - NASCAR has made headlines this week by asking fans to cease the display of the Confederate flag at each and every NASCAR race and facility. The NASCAR industry is looking to make the sport more fan-friendly and welcoming to any culture or background. Recently the NASCAR industry has been under fire regarding the Confederate flag being flown at many of their races. NASCAR doesn’t use the flag in any official way, but people were still upset because they hadn’t banned the use of them at their racetracks. The races continue this week at the Daytona Speedway on July 5, and all Confederate flags are expected to not be displayed during this race and all others in the future. Hopes are high that the car racing atmosphere can transform into more a peaceful one with this simple action.

6/24/15 - One of the most thrilling NASCAR races is taking place this weekend at the Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma, CA. The event is called the Toyota Save Mart 350 and it is a very unique race among all of the races this season. It is one of only two Sprint Cup races that actually occur on a road course. This means that the race not only has gobs of turns, but it has hills, which is a true test of the driver’s skills and accuracy. This race is known to favor veterans who have had opportunities to drive many road courses in their years. The current title holder of this race is Jeff Gordon who has won six others in his career. Watch all of the gripping turns and breakaways when you purchase tickets for $85 a piece.

6/17/15 - Kurt Busch took the win at the NASCAR Quicken Loans 400 on Sunday in Michigan, starting 24th and leading for a total of six laps throughout the afternoon. Second-place starter Kevin Harvick led for a third of the total race but finished 29th overall while four-spot starter Carl Edwards led the pack for 41 laps and finished in 12th place. Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Martin Truex Jr. rounded out the top three finishers while Danica Patrick’s No. 10 car crossed the finish line 16th in the field. The Sprint Cup Series continues in Sonoma with the Toyota Save Mart 350 followed by the Coke Zero 400 on July 5th at Daytona International Speedway. Get your tickets for Daytona now starting at $71 but don’t delay because supplies are limited!

6/8/15 - Belgian racer Anthony Kumpen and reigning NASCAR Whelen Euro Series champion has announced a plan to enter three NASCAR XFINITY Series races and one NASCAR K&N Pro Series East races. He is entering through the Nexteer Road to Daytona program, which was created to allow European drivers a chance to race in the US. In other news from NASCAR, Jimmie Johnson’s P1 penalty was overturned in his appeal. This means that his team will not have to be given the last pick of pit stalls when he races in Michigan. The appeal was reportedly a way to understand the new penalty system in place. The next NASCAR event is the Quicken Loans 400 in Michigan. Tickets are on sale to this and other races, with prices ranging depending on the venue and location of the tickets.

5/27/15 - It is not too late to get your NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Dover. Being one of the most exciting and challenging races, NASCAR fans are getting hyped. Come May 31st, you will finally have the opportunity to see who will walk away with the trophy. Right now, Kevin Harvick is the favorite to win with his previous two wins. Martin Truex Jr. is not far behind, however, taking up the second place. Joey Logano, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Jimmie Johnson round out the top five in the standings. Dover is a very unique track that is sure to offer thrills for the audience and plenty of challenges for the racers. It is exactly one mile long and features concrete instead of asphalt. Tickets are still available, starting as low as $19.

5/12/15 - After suffering from a broken leg not long ago, Kyle Busch is planning to hit the track again. Busch has missed the first 11 races of the season, which would normally disqualify him from making the 2015 Chase for the Sprint Cup. However, this week NASCAR relinquished this Chase requirement for Busch and put together another set of stipulations. Busch has to win one of the remaining regular season races along with being in the top 30 with points in order to have a position this year. This isn’t the only time that a player has received a waiver by NASCAR. The next upcoming race is the All-Star Race held at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, NC on May 16. Tickets for that race start at $21 a piece.

5/7/15 - Although driver Kevin Harvick recently expressed concerns that NASCAR was falling into a “stagnant” schedule, executive vice president Steve O’Donnell says the organization is comfortable and excited about the current schedule. Harvick compared the racing schedule to beating a dead horse, saying, “Sometimes you just have to change things up to keep the excitement and the enthusiasm in our sport.” He went on to complain that some venues were “weak links.” Many drivers, executives, and fans feel differently, however, saying they like things the way they are. In fact, ticket sales are strong for the upcoming racing season with many events on the verge of selling out. At the present there are just three tickets left to the next race, the Spongebob Squarepants 400 at Kansas Speedway in Kansis City, KS.

1/13/15 - As NASCAR drivers gear up for the 2015 season, you can get your tickets from Razorgator to see your favorite races live and in person. The action starts in Daytona Beach, Florida at the Daytona Speedway on February 14 with the Sprint Unlimited race. Then on February 19, it’s a Budweiser Duel. There are a few tickets still available starting at $141. Don’t wait to grab your tickets for the race you want to see. All eyes are on Dale Earnhardt Jr. to see if he will repeat at the Daytona 500. Danica Patrick recently announced a new sponsor for her car for the Indy 500. Her fans hope to see a woman win the race and make history. It’s going to be an exciting season, and you’ll want to be in the stands.

2014 Season

In NASCAR'S 66th season of the Sprint Cup Series, organizers are looking to switch things up with some major game-changers! Whether you like the new rules or not, winning now means everything in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. We know you're skeptical, but the new qualifying rules just mean NASCAR qualifying races will be filled with more risk-taking and do-or-die moments than ever. After just four races completed this year, it's obvious the drama is dialed up this year!

Every driver is more aggressive, and desperate, to score a win before the Chase for the Sprint Cup, as regular season victories all but guarantee winners a spot among the 16 drivers slated to compete in the 10-race championship. If there are drivers to win multiple races, and not enough to account for the final playoff spots, that's where the points come in--to essentially serve as tie-breakers. Following the Food City 500 in Bristol, we're left with Brad Keseloswki, Kevin Harvick, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Carl Edwards with wins—Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson are next in line at -11, for those looking with the points-system in mind.

This year, tens of thousands will flock to various races along the Sprint Cup Series to be a part of the most adrenaline-infused events of summer. Will the defending champion claim a playoff spot before the month's end? The season is still young with just over 20 races left for drivers to make their mark, so you've got a lot of opportunities to score tickets for the biggest events of summer in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series! You can't miss huge races like the brand-new Duck Commander 500, Coca-Cola 600, Brickyard 400 and the penultimate Ford Ecoboost 400!

2013 - 2014 Season

1/9/14 - Jimmie Johnson leads the way in his #48 Chevy with 2,419 points and 6 wins, Matt Kenseth is a close second—just 19 points behind with seven wins under his belt, while Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch and Dale Earnhardt Jr. round out the top five in the chase for the cup. Keep an eye out for Tony Stewart, who is set to make his return to the track, since breaking his leg in an Aug 5 crash, sometime in February. While the boys of NASCAR are doing their thing on the speedway, organizers have hinted at tweaking the Sprint Cup points system this year to encourage harder racing and more consistency by balancing winnings and points. In other news, the Formula 1 US Grand Prix organizers have decided to schedule their event in Austin on the same weekend as the NASCAR Sprint Cup - AAA Texas 500 race at Texas Motor Speedway on Nov 2—the area will be overflowing with fans of both races so book your hotels and grab your tickets at a low $142 now!

8/12/13 - The NASCAR Sprint Cup schedule began with the Sprint Unlimited at the famous Daytona International Speedway February 16 and will conclude at the Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway November 17. The season is grueling, featuring 36 races across North America. It is important for the teams and drivers to focus on pacing themselves as to not burn out.

When the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series was half way over, we evaluated the standings and prices of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series tickets for the remaining races. The current leader Jimmie Johnson was also atop the NASCAR standings at that time. The top 10 at the end of June was similar to the top 10 now; only positions within the top have changed. One driver to keep your eye on in the standings is Brad Keselowski who currently sits in eighth. The 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Drivers' Champion was being written off until last weekend when he moved up four spots in the standings with a second place finish at The Glen. Should Keselowski not qualify for Chase to the Sprint Cup, the defending champion would be just the second in history to miss the next year’s Chase after winning the previous year. And, although Tony Stewart was in the lead for a wild card spot, he is out for the rest of the season with a broken leg. Stewart was the 2011 Driver’s Champion.

The track is heating up heading into the final turn to the Chase for the Sprint Cup and so too are ticket prices. The Chase will begin September 15 in Chicago; Geico 400 tickets are averaging $110. Irwin Tools Night Race in Bristol is the most expensive race remaining on the NASCAR Spring Cup Series schedule averaging $173. The cheapest race is in Phoenix for AdvoCare 500 Phoenix in which NASCAR tickets are averaging $89.
