Supercross 2016 News and Updates
1/29/16 - It’s going to be a tight battle in Oakland this weekend when AMA Supercross comes to town! With Ryan Dungey safely leading the pack in points, much of the attention has turned to an overcrowded race for second. At present, five racers are separated by a mere three points, making the competition at O.Co Coliseum more urgent than ever. The Rider Point Standings through Round 3 place Chad Reed behind Dungey, followed by Jason Anderson, Cole Seely and Eli Tomac rounding out the top five. With a dozen more weeks of racing action to come, it’s hard to guess who will end up on top. You can follow the action firsthand with Super cross tickets, on sale now!
1/8/16 - Ryan Dungey is the reigning Super cross champion, but he will soon have to fight to retain the title. He won’t have an easy go of things either, as this year’s pool of racers is better than ever before. The talented Nick Couwenberg will be making his debut in the U.S., and other competitors include Chad Reed and James Stewart, who have a fierce rivalry that began back in 2002 during the Unadilla National.
The 2016 competition begins this week with the first race in Anaheim, California on Jan. 9 at Angel Stadium. You can enjoy the event with all your friends and family when you purchase tickets from us today starting at just $34.
3/31/15 - Ryan Dungey boosted his lead in the AMA Supercross Series, and now finds himself in possession of a comfortable 80-point advantage following a win at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, Missouri. The second place finisher, Eli Tomac, rolled in about four seconds slower. Dungey won his sixth of the 13 rounds held thus far; the occasion also represented the fourth time that he and teammate Mavin Musquin have swept the 250 and 450 class podiums. Jason Anderson jockeyed with Tomac for position during the 450SX race, but ultimately finished third, just ahead of Cole Seely and Weston Peick. The off-road action continues on April 11 at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. Tickets are available starting at just $21, so don’t miss your chance to be a part of the excitement!
3/27/15 - Eli Tomac scored a major win in Detroit on Saturday night, taking his second race of the season before 46,141 spectators at Ford Field. Justin Bogle meanwhile picked up his first Eastern Regional 250SX Class victory this season, leading wire-to-wire through all 15 laps of the main event. Trey Canard did not participate after suffering a crash in the qualifier, no doubt a disappointing outcome for the second-place leader in overall season standings. The off-road excitement revs back into full gear this weekend, as AMA Supercross action continues at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis on Saturday night. Tickets for the event are available starting at just $25 each, but make sure to claim yours soon—supplies are limited and they won’t last long!
3/13/15 - If you have never been to a Supercross event, you have been missing out. This year’s Supercross tour continues on March 14 and goes until May 2, 2015. Starting back up in Indianapolis, IN the tour then heads all around the county including stops in St. Louis, MO and Santa Clara, CA. The last event is going to be held at the Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, NV. You don’t want to miss the opportunity to see the talent of riders like Ryan Dungey, Trey Canard and Ken Roczen. Currently Dungey is dominating the leader board in the number one spot with 174 points. Position two and three are much tighter between Canard and Roczen with the score standing at 149 for Canard and 143 for Roczen. See one of the next high-energy races in Detroit, MI where tickets start at $28.
3/4/15 - One of the most technical and detailed racing sports of the century is Supercross. Professional riders race to the finish while completing and conquering steep jumps and difficult obstacles. This seasons events have ended in some incredible victories and hard upsets. Last week, Ryan Dungey was able to beat the record of the most Monster Energy Supercross wins, bringing home his third victory. This season, Dungey has accomplished six podium finishes and three overall wins. He currently holds a 30-point lead in the season standings. A fan favorite, Chad Reed made an incredible pass during the opening lap, but had an unfortunate second lap crash, ending the race in thirteenth place. You can find the next Supercross event in Indianapolis, IN on March 14, 2015. Tickets start at $26 each.
2/27/15 - Supercross continues its journey around the country, with a surprising upset at its halfway mark in the recent 450-class Atlanta event. Veteran Supercross championship Chad Reed surpassed the championship favorite Ryan Dungey for the victory. Reed last won a championship in 2009 at the AMA Motocross nationals and has had a sporadic career since. In Atlanta, he remained unchallenged during the entire 20-lap event, beating out not just championship hopeful Dungey but also second place Trey Canard. Although Dungey did not win this round, he did further his lead to 25 pounds over Canard. Anyone could still end up the champion as the series continues. The Supercross remains in Atlanta for an event on February 28 (tickets available starting at $4) before heading to Daytona Beach, FL, on March 7 (tickets start at $61).
1/16/15 - Witness all the fun and excitement of a Supercross event when you get your tickets at Razorgator. Angel Stadium is hosting a race on the 1/17, and there are still a few tickets available with a starting price of $29. It’s still early in the 450 season, and currently, Ken Roczen is in first place with 25 points. Jason Anderson has 22, and Trey Canard has 20. Watch these riders on an artificially-made dirt track go over jumps and around obstacles as they race to finish. It is eight laps of gripping entertainment per heat at the 450 level. Roczen is the 2014 Motocross Champion. He’s moved over into Supercross, and he’s looking for that championship as well. Join them in the stadium and watch all the excitement live.
5/15/14 - Supercross ended the thrilling 2014 AMA season in the most epic ways, with Ryan Villopoto winning his fourth consecutive 450SX championship. The victory has made him just the second rider in history to achieve the four-time milestone. Ryan Dungey was runner-up to the 450SX, while Justin Bogle claimed the 250SX East and James Anderson claimed the 250SX West title. The blockbuster action that the historic 2014 season offered was nothing short of amazing. Don't wait; get a jump-start for next year with 2015 Supercross tickets today!
1/17/14 - Ryan Villopoto is no stranger to first place, but the reigning triple AMA Supercross Champion surprised even himself with an early win last Saturday, and his first-ever in Phoenix, keeping him in the top spot with 43 points. Rival Ryan Dungey is a very close second, with 42 points, after finishing in third place at Chase Field Saturday night. With the Phoenix KTM SX-450 out of the way, there are 15 events left in the race for the cup. The third of 17 events is coming up in Anaheim this weekend (Jan 18). The ante has been upped for riders competing for the title: Supercross title sponsor DC Shows has posted a $10,000 bonus at each Monster Energy AMA Supercross this season. Some consider the 2014 season the most talented group of riders we’ve ever seen; their skill and degree of competitiveness is not something you can feel through the TV, so get in on the action in person! Rev up some Supercross tickets now!
12/3/13 - Get your need-for-speed fix when you buy Supercross tickets today! This season has shaped up to be a surprising one with the news that former MX2 World Champ Christophe Pourcel will return to play in America (he lost to Ryan Dungey in 2009) to compete with other elite Frenchman, Marvin Musquin, who just joined Dungey in the Red Bull KTM Team. Ryan Villopoto is facing some stiff competition in his quest for a three-peat this year with the likes of Ken Roczen (reigning 250SX West Champ) and the hyped up James Stewart, who is debuting in his first Monster Energy Cup. Those who will be missing in Anaheim, and possibly the entire opening round, are favorites Davi Millsaps (runner-up last year) and Trey Canard from injury. Tickets at Angel Stadium start at $28 to see who’s revved up at the starting line come January!
2/28/13 - Supercross isn't your typical sporting event. The off-road motorcycle competition with high speed jumps off dirt hills will have your adrenaline pumping. Both Ryan Villipoto and Justin Barcia are looking to capture their third straight Supercross Championship and Supercross Lites East Championship respectively. 2012 Supercross Lites West division winner was Eli Tomac. Highlights from the 2013 Supercross season thus far include Jeff Emig's win in St. Louis that broke Jeremy McGrath's 13-race win streak and James Stewart's win at the Georgia Dome which made for nine straight seasons with a W.
Watch more than just the highlights from your television; catch all Supercross live at a local stadium.
